Use the search function? I did, and this thread came top of the list, that's probably why people are writing in it.
hmmm another one of your posts that I don't know what to make of, vanP; maybe I'm misreading you (and apologies if I am) but you do come across as awfully rude sometimes. But what do I know, I'm just a lurker that doesn't thank anyone.
renGolly, I've got the newt pregnant...

I had one of those calls, told them I wasn't interested, and then they called me about 20 time again in the next 2 days so I blocked their number.2014: Desolation of Smaug DVD, Magix photo programme, RUSH DVD, £100 Lands End voucher, Hugo Boss La Vie perfume, £1000 Tesco vouchers, Winnie the Pooh Bundle, 7 night holiday to Spain0

Oh dear me, the other thread was a good thread with more info,
cant find atm, but yes they do try and try to call, if they have your mobile you may be able to block them or if its your home phone you can ask your provider i believe to block cetain numbers (prolly varies from provider to provider)
I never know what to do with tick boxes (will my chances be less if i dont tick boxes)
After my first month i dleted 1980 emails!!!!!
(guess thats why it best to not tick them)Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -

Anyway, enough messing about, I'll PM VelvetGlove about maybe putting People's Postcode Lottery on the spammy list and then practice how not to try and incite arguments in online public forums
Good luck everyone and happy comping!!

Thanks for the pmI'm adding it now, seems they can be quite 'determined'
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
Any views on whether we should all aim to avoid posting any of their comps in the future.
Just seems like a lot of hassle :-)0 -
I guess its come down to the individual,
as some members said they just entered a competition and they havent phoned since?
But i forgot to say my dad got 2 calls today but didnt realise and told them to call back as he was in a meeting.
(i forgot to tell him there are 2 DIFFERENT peoples lotterys)
1-SAFE & FREE ---http://www.freepostcodelottery.com---
NO MONEY TO PAY JUST CHECK EACH DAY, and a postcode appears if it matches yours you claim, and thats it..
£20 a day prize but can roll over until claimed (think highest this year was £180)
2-???SPAM & CALLS 4 SURE -- http://www.postcodelottery.co.uk/
Heres their page as you can see you have to buy tickets
but their prize is big??
But i suppose how you could do it 'weeowens' is maybe ask on here if there are any previous winners?
How many tickets would you like? * One Two Your details
Your postcode *
Email Address *
Send me draw results and news updates
Telephone: Call me when I have won over £1,000
Would you like... * An ongoing subscription (£10/month) A 5 draw ticket only (£10)Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -

I do not recall any winners on here but am willing to be corrected.
In my opinion we have a duty on here to try & avoid posting any comps that lead to such calls as these or are just data collection exercises.
I imagine that many inexperienced compers will just click on the link & enter. Many will not scroll down & read the comments.
Quite a few Uk comp portals will post all manner of comp from such as these eg
http://prizes.co.uk/membersinterface.html
Thankfully we tend not do that on here. There are thousands of comps posted on here that do not result in spam phone calls after entering so why take up time entering such as this.
Personally I would prefer that we never see such as these on here & thus deny the promotors what is an excellent source of publicity & save us all the hassles that ensue.
Just my view of course & each to their own :-)0
