And don't forget online auctions- we recently bought a lovely M&S suite on Ebay that is still for sale in their shops-2 sofas, a chair & footstool for £180. It was 6 years old, but in perfect condition, & not a mark on it. It cost the owner £2500 to buy new.

OK, we had to hire a van for the day (£57) and pay petrol (£20) to collect it, but I think I had an excellent bargain.
