albertross wrote:So why couldn't they just reinstate your order? With a nice discount for your inconvenience.
PS Not sure if you have a credit card or not, but better to buy stuff remotely with one, to give you protection with firms going bust etc..
When I first ordered I had to make a change (within 24 hrs) they said the only way to do this, cancel order and reorder which I did, that sounded simpler than it was (keep calm, keep calm...OMMMMMM!)
I paid via debit card, via Quidco, not sure if that should make any difference
Thanks

Hopefully the order will go smoothly but both my brother and his girlfriend had huge problems ordering laptops from play. My brother eventually got his over a month later after lots of hassle and his girlfriend was basically told tough she isn't getting it so she got one from somewhere else."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Oh Gawd super :rotfl: :rotfl: I have only ever ordered books from play!

P.S. Maybe I should just go to PC World  can't be any worse...can it :rolleyes:0 -
I'm not up on Quidco, but it must add an extra layer of complexity into the transaction.. so maybe that has something to do with it. I've always found Dell efficient in the past. Also play.com are usually good, apart from one thing that arrived damaged, they have always been excellent, and refunded the money for the stuff damaged in transit without any hassle.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

And it has 3 yrs warranty :T

Bro's gf eventually got hers from PC World. Brother stuck it out with it taking lots of phone calls. They were both sony vaios but different products/models and they each ordered theirs from their own accounts using their own credit cards issued by different banks and yet they both ended up with mostly the same huge problems so seems more than coincidence."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

That one from Play looks an absolute bargain (as i said don't forget Quidco too!). The only downside is the graphics card, if you intend to use it for games it will not run very smooth, but if you didn't buy it for games then it's a very good deal.0
