I'm spring cleaning and I found......

....a note my daughter left me when she was very small.
It said (in bright red felt pen)..
This message was surrounded by crosses spread over the whole page. I've never been able to work out if they were crosses to signify her intense dislike of turkey or if they were kisses in an attempt to soften her demands.:rotfl:
She wrote this on Christmas Eve one year when she discovered we were having turkey for Christmas dinner the next day.
Btw, she can spell 'turkey' and 'hate' properly now.
I shouldn't really have started on the 'bits box' as it has sidetracked my spring cleaning now.
Have you ever come across anything nice/funny/ not so nice/funny whilst having a clear out?

How sweet.
Yes l have lots of little bits and pieces that 'one day' l'm going to get round to framing or scrap-booking....
I only have one child, he's nearly 6 but l already have two boxes of keepsakes, God knows how many there'll be when he's older, l just can't bear to throw alot of the notes and pictures he makes/draws away.
In fact yesterday we went to back out of the driveway and l saw on one of our windows an A4 piece of paper he'd stuck to the inside saying 'NO Cats allwed'. We have a cat but she'd done something he didn't agree with and it was supposed to stop her coming in.

Love it.
They are so idealistic when they are young. Everything is just so easy and straightforward for them. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!

I was giggling the supermarket last week when I saw
baycn
added onto the bottom of the list in my 4 year old's handwriting.
She wanted a bacon sandwich apparently
Here I go again on my own....0 -
This is a gesture more than a little drawing that amused me.
On sunday when I had to send my two to their respective rooms for my own sanity, I later checked they were still where they were supposed to be. Obviously my daughter had taken umbridge when I noticed she had hung out her "do not disturb" sign.0 -
My ex sister in law used to hate me smoking so used to hide my fags one by one in strange places - on top of photo frames on the wall, top of the kitchen cupboards etc. I used to find them when I cleaned or moved house lol:beer: Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0

I have a little note written by my now 15 year old ds when he was about 5, which reads 'Sorry to say I hate you'. My heart sank when i first read it because he had said 'I hate you' to me that day (one and only time!) and I thought he was just confirming it in writing. What he meant was he was sorry for saying it

I was sorting out my ancient and heaving bookcase a few weeks back, and I found a card that my kid had "made" for me years ago.
It was a picture of Spiderman and Carnage (!) shooting each other, complete with red felt pen blood splatters coming out of their chests.
Underneath, he'd written......."happy birthday mum xxxxx"
Inside was his name and another picture of Spiderman, fighting another baddie, who had yet more blood pouring from his wounds. Along with loads more kisses. (And, inexplicably, a drawing of our cat!)
I'm sure he meant well! :rotfl:"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I still have a note in my purse that my now 19yo son wrote when he was about 7. It says, 'your the most beutiful mom in the woruld' :rotfl:
Well they do say love is blind.
I also have a Mother's Day card my daughter made me. Inside it says, 'I like you'. No mention of love there. I was lucky to get a like from her. :rotfl:0
