Where have you been looking for it?0 -
I dont understand, I said i looked for moviemaker in c drive and in the start menu and couldnt find it. I reinstallled live essentails. the shortcut is still on my menu but when i open it i get the error message.
I tried something else - i logged on as another user, installed live essentials and opened movie maker under this other user. It worked fine. So what have i done on the other user.0 -

Haven't the foggiest. Suggest you create a new user account, copy all your stuff to it and delete the old one when you're sure you've accounted for everything.0 -

its a mystery, but i think i will copy what i need onto the public folders and then it will be open to both users. Bl**dy spyware scans, my computer was fine before.
Unless anyone has any better solutions this option will be fine for now, thanks everyone0 -

I'm inclined to blame anything that tinkers with the registry.0
