Typical, I updated my spybot, spyware blaster and ad-adware. I ran them and since i did i found a few problems. My keyboard switched to US style. I fixed that but when I tried to run windows movie maker i found the problem
"the system cannot find the path specified".
there may be more problems but that is as far as i have got. I have tried reloading windows essentials but it still doesnt work
can anyone help
my pc is on windows 7, if that helps

Do you have access to installation media for Windows 7? You might retain some semblance of normality by way of the System File Checker.0

installing too much security software is a good way of slowing down a machine, with little benefit
have you got, or created a windows 7 disc, or got a factory restore partition?!!

There is another possibility,
It's quite possible that the installer program is still lurking in your .cache folder.
If you do a search for the file
MovieMaker.msi
If it finds it, then run it to re-install.
You will need to run it as Administrator, of course.0 -

DVD Maker will be under Media Features; Movie Maker is a separate download.
Sorry - got a bit mixed up there.0 -
