best pay as you go sim?
Options
Hi i would like to know what the best value pay as you go sim card is right now in terms of calls and texts please?
I think mainly i would be sending texts from the sim card, and not wanting to top it up every month, but will also be making calls from it aswell (to all other networks and landlines)
Somebody told me tesco have a deal that if you top up £20 they double it?
What are they like for reception etc though?
All advice would be welcome
Thanks

You've got icardmobile -
Landlines 3p/min, Mobiles 6p/min, Texts 5p each
and then TalkMobile, TescoLite, FamilyMobile who offer
Mobiles/Landlines 8p/min, Texts 4p each
Both no-frills deals, top up as and when you need to. Credit stays there until used up, no monthly commitment (just make a call or text every 3 months)
Icardmobile will also include free voicemail if that matters, and free calls to other icardmobile sims for up to 10 mins. Talkmobile offers half price calls and texts to other talkmobile numbers.
In term of reception, Talkmobile and icardmobile uses Vodafone, TescoLite uses O2, FamilyMobile uses T-mobile with free roaming onto Orange . You can get most sim cards free before topping up, so get them all and find out if you don't know about signal quality locally to where you are.0 -

Thanks mate
How would i top up these sims though? would i have to go into a tesco store or online for the tesco lite deals?
And how would i top up the icardmobile sim, would it only be available via they're website?
Arent sim cards like orange/vodaphone or o2 any good? (as i have them at home already)
Basically i will be running a business from these sim cards, but most of my customers will be phoning me. I might need to return the odd missed call via a text or maybe ringing them back (so im not expecting to do this very often to be honest)
I also have a contract sim with free minutes and texts which i can of course use when i need to. But obviously because it is a business, it would be more professional for me to phone them back from the same number they are using to contact me from.
Dont the big boys"orange, voda, o2" offer decent deals in tems of free texts? Or doe these free texts expire every month forcing me to top up every month? I definitely don't want to/need to top up them sim every month.
Thanks for your help0 -
How many texts are you likely to send a month? If you send more than 125 then Giffgaff's £5 goodybag for unlimited texts could be better value. Or their £10 goodybag includes 250 minutes and unlimited data.0

Hope that helps!
You could always consider a £1/month SIM only contract with 30 minutes and 30 texts from Vectone. Never used them myself co can't comment on quality of service.0
