Penalty Charge notice at Wollaton Hall

Hi,
I was in Nottingham for the weekend and went to visit Wollaton Hall Gardens. I got a penalty charge notice from the Nottingham City Council and nottinghamshire police of 50 pounds for not displaying a parking ticket. I honestly didn´t see any signs for pay & display. There were a lot of cars fined as well, because it was hard to see the pay & display machine and sign.
Shall I pay that and forget about it, or living in a different county I shouldn´t be bothered?

Any Council PCN is worth appealing IMHO. I assume it's not actually from the Police as Notts is decriminalised I think?

Most people win if they take the matter as far as adjudication, if it's a Council PCN.

Never ignore an official PCN. As Coupon says, post it up in case there is any technical flaw in it. You could always try and argue that the signs weren't adequate, after all if a lot of people got fines that creates something of a case... But living in a different county won't help you at all. If you ignore it a bailiff local to you will come a-knocking! Now if you had said a different COUNTRY.....
