Hi again the car is a mercedes s class brabus, the selling dealer told me to take the vehicle to my local dealer as i live 200 miles from where i bought the vehicle.
my local dealer then sent me to a
their auto gearbox specialist to have the problem looked at! I would also like to state that i had the vehicle into the main dealer for a service and check up 2 days after buying it and nothing was flagged up at that point.
however the vehicle is reading 81122kms on the speedo and the ecu is saying the last dpf regeneration was carried out at 96643kms there is deffinately something strange going on!
thanks shaun
Get the gearbox specialist to put that in writing to you (if you havn't already), inform the selling dealer that you have that evidence and ask for an explanation.
How was the mileage described in the advertising on the car?PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

something is truely not right with the odemeter reading if the ECU clock is reading different to the dash clocks.
question is did MB replace the clocks at some point due to a fault before screeming its been clocked you need to ask MB to do some investigative work in their records on the computer or have they replaced the ECU for a second hander at some point or a ECU update has caused mileage discrepancy with the ECU all questions needs to be asked and definitaive answers on paper before going back to the specialist for answers0 -
Thats what im doing now before i go back to the selling dealer as i need to be 100% sure that its been tampered with.
MB have no records of changing any ecu or the odometer on the vehicle and all the ecu's are a one time program only non interchangeable according to MB.0 -

With the amount of money involved I would want to be sure as this could get serious. I reckon presented with evidence, the selling dealer will get a tad nervous.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
