Have you tried just asking for one? Maybe offering a payment or getting one off ebay. You might as well try the easy methods first.

<Amazon.co.uk> is selling them for under a tenner. Do you really want all the bother of applying for credit cards for the sake of less than a tenner?

What a lovely grandfather - I remember my aunt having TWO Andrex plush puppies and refusing to give me one, she just had both of them lined up in her sitting room. I was about 6 years old at the time and sat there with my bottom lip quivering when my Mum asked if I could have one, and she just said no, they were both hers!!

Well you do need to use 228 toilet rolls to get them! I won't need to buy any more toilet paper for the next 5 years now...

There are loads on Ebay and Amazon.

It's also ok to say "no" to children, and explain why they can't have something.

Sue Ryder charity shops were selling them, might be easier than getting a Cc.

Your issue maybe your unsed credit cards, if you dont use them lenders wont bother with you
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I don't think it's wise for anyone to get a credit card just for a toy.

I've seen people pay more for their car insurance, just so they get a toy. I just don't understand it.

I used CompareTheMarket, GoCompare, etc, and it turned out that my renewal quote was the cheapest option! (admittingly, Admiral were actually cheapest, but I'd never go with them anyway, the other may have been £10 - £20 cheaper; not worth the bother of changing).
