Morning all ,strange yellow light in the sky ,it may be the sun but its such a long time since I've seen it I can't be sure
Hopefully today DD and the tribe and I are going out for a picnic and may go to Chartwell for a visit as I have my NT card so we get in for nowt as DD has a ticket, and the boys are on my ticket so a pretty inexpensive day out is on the cards.
I don't think I will trust the weather with my washing so its mainly on the airer in the conservatory at the moment I have another load to do, but it can wait as there's nothing urgently needed.I was going to do an inventory of my food stocks but a picnic with the tribe sounds more interestingI can always do the inventory when the boys are back at school tomorrow.Nothing urgently needed in the pantry anyway, as I have milk and fresh bread and can muddle through with the existing stuff for a day or so.My DGS Danny came for a cuppa yesterday morning 10.00 and left at 2.30. we do like to sort the world and his wife out when he drops in.He's such a nice lad, and so interesting to talk to.He said he will get a couple of tickets for 'Pointless' the show he is working on at the moment for my friend and i so that will be nice to see him at his job and see what he does in the studios.Well time I got the kettle on I think and some breakfast on the go
Hope everyone has a good Bank Holiday whatever you are doing
Cheers chums

Morning all!
Didn't get chance to post yesterday as we were busy all day. Did a car boot, didn't do too badly, and had lots of interest in our VW campervan, which had a FOR SALE sign in the window:(. We'll miss her so much when she's gone, but we need the cash atm! I actually caught the sun! First time this year! Unfortunately I now have a pink forehead:o.
It's back to rain today though - gentle at the moment, but due to get heavy later on. Managed to get most of the washing done Sat and Sun, but any bits done today will go on the airer indoors. BM is on, I'm running out of organic wholemeal and granary so will have a look at Shipton Mill and see if we can afford an order this month. Otherwise it'll be white bread for the rest of the month!
Planning to do some baking later, and I really do have to write my essay, so the house will be spotless by teatime!:rotfl:
Have a lovely bank holiday, everyone!:)

Morning all, wet and cold here today but Jack and I didn't get too wet. Off to my sisters for lunch as we are collecting a chair they are giving us. They are moving to a new house soon which will be nice for them and it looks like my brother who was my Mum's carer is going to live with them also.Made gammon in coke yesterday so DS and I will have leftovers for tea. DH will make himself something. Need to clean downstairs bathroom and hoover before we go.
Have a good day all whatever the weather.:)£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

morning all,
sunny here so will be heading out for our fish and chips later. got a few jobs to do in the house today ironing and baking and general tidying.
ive got a question for you all. we all love our kitchens and our baking so what is your cheapest recipie... and it must be a proper meal. mine would be fish cakes and wedges....tin of tuna, some stuffing, potatoes and cheese, then hm wedges and brocolli. prob about £2?? maybe a bit more. thats not a proper costing just a guess and feeds 4 easily.
this will give me inspiration. i really love making something out of nothing. dont get me wrong i still seem to spend too much on shopping! i love magazines and cookery books with basic variations and i love something all the family will eat with no moaning.
one of my fav cookbooks is the be-ro cookbook. a little leaflet really - nothing posh but its all in there.:T:T:T0 -
Haven't posted in this neck of the woods for ages.
The sun is out today so a plan I hatched to go the cinema has been ditched. Think I will start off with some nice tea and toast (the bread is on its last legs now).
Have a great day allDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Sounds like we're all having lovely lunches or baking lovelty things today.
Here my throat has razor blades bedded in and i feel like poop. Have picked tiddlies from MIL/FIL's, DD1's friend slept last nigth and they've gone out to "hang" at the park.
Will be taking the tiddlies to an indoor play area today (and cross fingers they don't pick up any bugs:o).
Dh bought 3 trout home lastnight then nipped to the pub...he's still in bed (rollseyes).
Tea tongiht (i'm coming to Bitsy's - Love Fajitas) LO roast.
Raining here so washing is in the TD and 1 more to dry.
Kids room is horrendous....but that can wait til tomorrow when they're at school.

I've always loved them too! I remember a friend's parents having one in the 70s - it must have been brand new, and I thought it was gorgeous! Other friends had them in the 80s and 90s, and that's when I really started to want one. We've got someone coming to look at her today - a friend who runs a local charity, so we might get to keep in touch with our van and check she's doing ok! I've started saving for our next one already0 -

That just reminded me of when I was little, I used to give my poor grandmother the heebie-jeebies by climbing virtually to the top of the Bramley tree in her front garden. Can't even climb a flight of stairs now!:(
I'm just catching up on the thread, as I didn't read yesterdays til just now - I love the egg-sample of artwork by Sistercas's DD2.:rotfl:
Ah, Mr LW has just put dins on the table (2nd half of the quiche I made yesterday + some chips that he's just made) so I'll be back later.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
