Fined for not having insurance

So, the car is actually costing you £400+ per year in car tax, and depreciation on top, but you've been "unable to sell"?
You are losing value in this vehicle every month, so you should have sold it 12 months ago for anything up to £500 below the going rate. Unless you had another reason to keep it?

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0

this new law was one of the things i applaud because it stops bakers postmen and chippies from selling dodgy motors when their shift finishes because most law abiding people like to drive cars with tax on and the paperwork gets involved when the postman only has the green slip
sorry OP you been caught in the web to cut down the black market/pool cars for thieves etc but at least you have a story to tell in the pub0 -

It is a civil penalty that will be passed to debt collectors if not paid, you have not been fined, they wont go anywhere near a court.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

then you are insured 3rd party on the other car (any other car)
I'm afraid thats no longer applicable. Not only does the 3rd party thing normally only cover other peoples cars, it also only applies when you're behind the wheel of it - not when it's parked with you not in the car.
Plus the law CHANGED. If you tax a car it must now have insurance cover in its own right covering that registration number. We've been stitched up by Cameron and his tory millionaires.Sgt_Pepper wrote: »Your the grammar police is you?
You're hardly one to talk seeing as you try to police everything on this forum yourself and even use Sgt in your name.0 -

Not really sure how to get the car off my hands. I realise that I am losing money every month but a year ago I did not expect to find it so hard to sell it. It is in great condition but there seem to be few people interested in buying these cars due to the cost of running them.
Young people find it hard to get insurance on these cars now which was the main customer base for these cars.0 -
Sell it back to a Subaru dealer? Otherwise it will just continue to depreciate month by month. No free lunch, and no free laptop
