Just done a wee HHC, first in ages. Forgot how much you could do in half an hour!!!

    Washing machine emptied and reloaded
General gibble rehomed from hotspots in kitchen
    All worksurfaces wiped down
    All tiles cleaned and polished
All small appliances given a good wipe down

Kitchen looks better all ready! Just having a quick sit down, checking ebay etc. Will climb onto windowsill in a bit and give it a good clean.

This week has been a "flying disaster" for me. Still I'm going to do my best to get through todays list and put aside tomorrow to see if I can play catch up.

Having real trouble with the laundry hardly any of our clothes go through the tumble drier. Loads of laundry to do and house full of damp clothes. Already had to wash two loads again this week 'cose the smelt horrid. Any ideas?

:j Just filled a 'portable MiL' (carrier bag to you:rotfl:) with carp for the CS and another with carp for the bin and yet another for recycling. I am starting to see progress in our bedroom which DH uses to put things he doesn't know what to do with in:eek::eek:. I have made some suet pastry to turn the leftover venison casserole into a pie for tea with veggies and roasties Yum Yum! So just going to have a power nap and then I am going to sort the HS's in the kitchen and maybe sort a drawer or 2. DH is going to clean the cupboard doors and worktops when he comes home. There is a bit of a barrier to sweeping the floor as the carrier came with the new body parts for DS1's car which got trashed by a stag (not related to the one in the pot as far as I know!) and before I could stop him he dumped them in my kitchen and was gone Cheers Mate!! They are too heavy for me to move coz they have the glass in them.

Yorkie I found myself nodding in agreement as I read your DD1's poem. A lot that applies to lupus also. All the best to her as she does her bit for ME awareness week; and hoping that DD2 is starting to recover from her trials, too.

Dylan's gone home now; I've wrestled the Dyson round what bits I can get to (he was moulting quite a bit) and Dettoxed the trolley all his kit was stored on; will dust the bedroom a little later.;)

Now.... Be afraid.... be very afraid....

The article linked to below appeared in yesterdays telegraph, and may go some way to explain why, when I told the GP that I was struggling to do my housework, she just shrugged and said don't bother doing it.:eek::eek:

I don't think I've done much from the official list, but I have done all my dishes, a S&S in the kitchen and have taken all the bins out (including changing the stinky cat litter!!)

The achievement I'm most proud of is getting Mr Fresian to put away all of his clean clothes instead of leaving them in pile on top of the chest of drawers which the cat will eventually nest in meaning I have to rewash it all :D

I'm going to the movies tonight so suspect a lot of flying will roll over to the weekend to be honest, but I'm managing to keep on top of general tidiness which is normally my main problem, so I'm happy!

    Afternoon

I've cleaned the bathroom and toilet, vacuumed through downstairs and washed the kitchen floor. I did some washing and hung it out for a couple of hours but then it started to rain so I've draped it round indoors because it is almost dry.

That article LW, I don't see anything shameful in wanting a nice clean and relatively tidy house. I don't want to live in a showhome or a museum but it makes me (even more) depressed when everything is muddly and really dusty. It's about finding the right level that you feel comfortable with and can keep up to without stressing yourself or the rest of your family. I've learned that nobody else is bothered so I do what I do for myself and don't expect any help - and rarely get it. I know you find it hard that Mr LW has to help you but it doesn't read as though he minds at all and I'm sure he's happy to do what he does so you both get to live in a nice house.

spent 2 hours cleaning out mils garage took a change of clothes for work as i guessed id get mucky. quick coffee with mil changed and went work while there slipped over slid down a muddy bank and ended up under a table on the playground absolutely filthy. so now got another load of mucky washing (coat and 2 pairs of trousers)

ive only scratched the surface in the garage fil died almost 2 years ago and before retiring was a painter and decorator. the garage is full of old paint tins - loads were empty or rattled the paint was that dry! have got about two tip runs worth of rubbish and that just stuff i know i can clear without DH claiming semtimental value and bringing it up ours. I know fil did lots of gardening but really there must be over 200 plant pots of varying sizes and shelves full of jars of screws and nails.
did two runs over to the bottle bank while there as i kept finding empty jars and bottles (that might have come in useful)
back had dinner and managed to get a line of washing dry - its now drizzling again

    1. To get everything, yes EVERYTHING, unpacked.... no more boxes lurking 6 months later!

Have you been looking at our house? Welcome back to you and all the other guys, we just need to get AnWs mum back full time now and maybe our occasional posters.

Today I have decluttered 40 lengths in the pool and a bit too much money to the optician. DH is teaching at home tonight so I may go and have a sort of my wardrobe and bedside drawers.
