    I have number 3 what ever it is, it comes up every year, spreads very well if you want it too and produces yellow flowers, growing to maybe 2ft tall.

    Looks lovely when in flower, but hard to get rid of, as only one little bit of root will start the spread again.

    Looking at Plant 3, I too think this could be Day Lily (Hemerocallus). I have several different varieties in pots in my garden.

    My neighbour has that type of Berberis and I am so envious as it looks great, pity that it couldn't be bred without the horrible spines. It's amazing how even the weeds look attractive on photographs at this time of the year?
