Definitely keep the Fiesta.
The current Ka is a horrible little half-baked afterthought design. It's heavily based on the Fiat 500 and in fact built at the same Polish factory. Ford dealers just can't give them away.
Your current Fiesta is way more refined, comfortable and fun to drive."Retail is for suckers"

taken ka out for another test drive, i like the look of it, and it feels fun to drive, less bumpy on all the speed bumps than the fiesta.
still undecided
but thanks for everybodys imput so farloves to knit and crochet for others0 -
Please please keep the Fiesta diesel
We recently changed the wife's Fiesta 1.4 diesel which was showing on the computer average of 52.9 mpg around town
We bought a newer 1.25 petrol Fiesta and I am amazed at how fast the petrol gauge goes down
I reckon were getting 30 mpg around town
The diesel normally cost us £40 a month in diesel
The petrol one so far in 2 weeks has cost almost £60 for the same sort of mileage and same type of journeys
Petrol cheaper to use ??
NO it's not
p.s. the "official" mpg for the petrol one says 50 mpg ,diesel say 67 mpg
but that's combined motorway constant 56 mph and urban / city driving
petrol urban real life = 30 mpg0 -
Disagree with that and according to "Honest John":
Fun to drive and economical, based on the FIAT 500 but handles so much better it donated its suspension improvements to the 500. More room in rear than 500.
Did I like it? Too right I did. It's comfortable, stylish and great fun to drive.
It isn't as complete a car as the cheaper 5-door, 5-seater Hyundai i10, but its fun looks and endless options list should appeal to younger drivers and to fans of the blue oval who haven't been bitten by the FIAT 500 bug
Just my view, but for the OP I would say keep the Fiesta as financially it does not make sense to change.0 -
the ka was much smoother over the lumps and bumps than the fiesta, also the fiesta exhaust is low and sometimes scrapes on the bumps which the ka does not.
fiesta is great on smooth roads, havent tried the ka on a motorway yet, most of my driving just now is short journeys around town. steering is much lighter and easier than the fiesta also
diesel is costing me approx 20 a week.
ka has stop start technology, supposedly saving fuel?
ka also looks cute, to me at least, i like the shape and the look of the new model, but i appreciate most dont
if only money wasnt an issue lolloves to knit and crochet for others0 -
Keep the Fiesta!!!

Did you escape from a padded room?
You have a 2 year old car and actually think you can save money by spending £££££'s on another?
If you want a new car because it's "cute", just say so..... Don't start making excuses to throw money away.
Incidentally, the KA and the Fiesta are nearly mechanically identical, they use many of the same parts. Your arguments for changing cars don't really hold water.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

No they are not - Fiat 500 and KA are nearly mechanically identical,
Your thinking of the Mk1 KA
And I find the KA 1.2 fine on the motorway 80+ no problem0 -

Ah, well isn't that much worse?Anything Italian is great as long as your not afraid to get your hands dirty every now and then. Let's hope it's more Ford than Fiat.
I wouldn't touch a KA, I wouldn't touch anything that small. My GF has a KA and what I can't get over is how aggressive other drivers are around her.
It's like if she's doing the speed limit, she'll get tailgated aggressively and then overtaken. If she overtakes another driver, they ALWAYS come back for "revenge", they simply cannot stand being bettered by a KA. In my Vectra, this almost never happens.
Im never buying a small car again! :rotfl:“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

They do say the only thing wrong with a Fiat is the dealers0
