Hello,
I sell Virgin Vie products, and in 2 weeks I'm doing my second fundraiser to raise money for organisations like this.
I'm also not saying this to benefit myself, I genuinely want to help you with ideas.
Why not have a pampering night for parents and children?
You can have a raffle, most consultants will happily donate a prize or two free, or do 'squares' This is where you sell 100 squares, all numbered, for £1. Once all are sold, a number is picked and that person wins £50 to spend on products, and the PTA would get £50. Everyone wins that way.
You could also have the consultant do mini make overs, skincare reviews, hand treatments etc, and charge £1. Half to consultant, half to PTA.
Then maybe a % of profits from sales.
It's just something different.
Hope this helps!0 -
thanks nice ideas keep them comming0

Hope this is ok! It's my first time posting so forgive me if it,s not right!!!!
Try https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk .It is a cashback site ,you register your organization and get everyone that you know who shops on line to register with them and your pta will get a % of what everyone spends. It isnt a quick way to make loads of cash but we have already got a good amount and you cann get quite alot of cashback over busy shopping times like Christmas .
We have always found a racenight to be a huge success for a quick fund boost.
Our other was a karaoke with a difference. Everyone is given a raffle ticket as they arrive and instead of choosing to sing a, number is picked out and if its your number and you dont want to sing then you have to pay not to.
Combine this with a raffle and you could be on to a winner
Hope some of this helps!:AIt matters not how long a stars shines ,what is remembered is the brightness of it's light.
JAN Battle attacks cars, 3 VIP althletics tickets, fairtrade choccy .... yum
Thanks to all posters xxxx0 -

Sorry
forgot to mention that we had the karaoke on a thursday night in the function room of a local bar not only was the function room free but with a little bit of gentle persuasion we managed to get a % of the bar total back because we had a big crowd of people and weeknights are normally quiet!
Will not work for everyone everyewhere but anything is worth a try for a good cause.
Good Luck with your fundraising !!!:AIt matters not how long a stars shines ,what is remembered is the brightness of it's light.

Hi
This is a bit of a boring one but I recycle old ink cartridges for my church. They can make quite a lot of money. Perhaps the school could put a recycling bin in one particular area and teachers could encourage kids to bring used cartridges in from home. I found that the first time I did it - the uptake was very slow but once I published how much money we'd made from very little effort the cartridges came in thick and fast.
You parcel the cartridges up and send them to Inkcycle by FREEPOST and within a month they send you the cheque. Very simple to organise and no real effort involved. It just takes a bit of reminding every now and then to jog people's memories.
Below is the link (I hope) check it out. It helps towards saving the environment too.

I've just read the site again as I'm due to send off the next lot of cartridges and it appears that you now get points. I'm not sure if the cash thing is still going. Sorry for the confusion. This has changed recently as I received my last cheque at the end of Jan 07.
I've found some companies willing to pay money for your cartridges:

Hope this helps0 -
thanks just read over £15 of points they will redeem into cash0

Hi and good luck with this. Am mid-fundraising myself!
With Easter coming up, would a cake sale be good, with prizes for the best decorated easter eggs?! No outlay, and pretty much everyone is happy to provide something for this
Pub Quiz
Pampered Chef(who sell kitchen stuff) do home parties, and if you have it as a fundraiser 15% of sales is donated to the charity of your choice (am doing this next week!)
Also have you seen justgiving.com? If anyone is doing a sponsered eventy this is a great way of collecting money.
Sheets of quizes/crosswords are very cheap to produce - sell for 10p each and ask someone locally to donate a prize for one that's correct picked out by the closing date
Non uniform day
Family treasure hunt, with chocolate eggs as a prize
Car wash
Best of luck with it!0 -
Why don't you try looking on the ncpta website? Also browse other schools websites and see what their pta's are upto - lots post financial reports etc so you can even see how successful they are.
Our PTA are in the process of signing up for www.everyclick.com
Sponsorship eg local estate agents may offer to help with advertising in the local paper for your events like summer fete and putting boards up with the details on. Ours does a scheme where if parents sell their house through them they donate £100.
Lots of companies eg banks do £ for £ matching schemes.
Hope that points you in the right direction. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Have you looked at the yellow moon web site - they produce booklets with craft things in - the parents order them direct and you get a chq twice a year.
We've just had a girly night out where we took over the restuarant for the night - they did a buffet indian for us and charged us a set figure. We sold the night to the parents for £10 a head - think they have made > £100 for just turning up and enjoying themselves.Sealed pot challenge 822
