round basin - round or square tap?

I have bought this vanity unit

http://www.betterbathrooms.com/bathroom-furniture/white-gloss-wall-hung-furniture/aspen-60-black-sparkle-pacific-vanity-set/

and am now looking for a tap to go with it. These are the 2 main contenders at the moment

http://www.bathrooms.com/taps/basin-taps/square-tall-single-lever-basin-mixer-tap

http://www.tradeplumbing.co.uk/ultra-quest-high-rise-mixer.html

The first one is cheaper and I actually prefer it. However, I'm not sure whether a square tap will go with a round basin or if a round tap would look better.

Opinions welcomed and gratefully received as always.

have also seen this one now!

not really interested in the gimmickly colour changing thingy and can't really tell from the picture whether it would be suitable. The tap would be mounted on the unit, not on the actual basin.

Square - it will match the base unit better. :D

Doh! Just realised that there is a round hole in the counter top where the tap would sit, so could only get a round tap! Even if a square tap would fit it would look very strange!

I've emailed the seller to ask whether it is suitable for counter mounting - I've had so many disasters with this bathroom that I would cry if I ended up with an unsuitable tap! I already have 3 base units (2 of which are broken), 2 basins and 1 tap that is not suitable to use with the vanity unit (it was ordered to go with the vanity unit I ordered from Victoria Plumb, see my other thread!)

although, looking at this one, I'm wondering whether a square tap has a round base ie if they are all the same and either would fit and look OK
