Tesco mobile & O2 question

Does anyone know if a Tesco mobile payg sim will work in an O2 locked mobile phone?

Also, will I be ale to keep my current phone number?

Hi,

Yes it will work because Tesco are a virtual network who use O2's.

You can change your number over very easily from one network to another (not very easily if it's from the same one!). So O2 to Tesco is fine.

How would I keep my number & all my contacts ect?

Ask O2 for PAC and give it to Tesco.
Make sure that all contacts are saved to the phone memory, not to the sim that will die.

Also, O2 may unlock your phone for free if it is locked. Worth asking.

Some do, some don't. Officially, Tesco SIMs don't work in o2-locked phones and vice versa, but some people have reported success with certain phones.

It worked for us. Why not buy a tesco sim card for 99p and try it.
