Ely WHSmith still had some of yesterday's when I was in there at 11, as well as lots for today.0

I think it depends on who's behind the counter. The one I went to insisted on cutting out the whole page with voucher - before I'd had a chance to look at it... I asked her to just cross out the voucher but she insisted they needed it! :rotfl:0 -
For anyone in London - they had loads in the Victoria train station this morning - the SA was desperate to get rid of them and was letting people have more than one (but she did make you buy the papers and give the correct number of vouchers in). I thought they would have all gone from there early with the commuters but this was around 9.15am.0

I live in the sleepy Cotswolds and you have to queue outside our local WHSmiths before they open to even be in with a chance of getting the Lego and they have always run out by about 10am! I always buy three copies of the Sun so I can get one set for my son, one for my nephew and one to keep at Nanny and Grampy's house - so I hope WHSmiths don't impose a one-per-customer rule.0

My son was very lucky today, we popped into town after school hoping to get the Ninjago car, and the lovely lady asked if he had yesterdays one, which we hadn't ( if i drive into town & park every day it'd cost a fortune!!). So she gave him a bag from yesterday, and one from the day before, along with todays lego.. and then as my 5 year old piped up that he wanted one for his best friend too, she gave him a second set too! My son is a happy boy now, and he's wrapped up the other set to give to his best friend on Friday..
What a change to meet such a nice shop assistant

Euston station had run out before 8:15! :mad:0 -
My SA told me that they've had fewer packs in today than the previous days. They still had enough at 9.15, though I wonder whether today will be a run-out-early day here. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0

My WHSmith finally got their act together today and were scribbling through each coupon to ensure no misuse
No limit on how much they were letting you purchase though
I bought 4, did offer to leave the papers and just take the coupons but the SA seemed confused by my offer lol and said noGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
I had rather an irrate SA in ToysRUs today  which rather shocked me to be honest.
In the queue at CS a man had 10 coupons for todays car, all carefully cut out of the paper. He counted them out and handed them to the SA. She flew into a ragesaying that he could only have 1 and they arent to sell on Ebay. Now she was quite right as 10 coupons was taking the P***. It was only 9.10 too so ten minutes into trading. He left with 1 set saying explitives on his way out of the store :eek::eek:, luckily no children in sight.
I have 2 children so Im buying 2 papers so that they have a set each and no fighting, as many people have several children and are genuine. After having a rant at the man she turned her attention to me, saying 'Oh not another one!' well I was dumbstruck! I then noticed she had Manager on her badge so I couldnt even complain. I left with one set and went next door to Currys for 10 minutes to calm down as I was a wreck from what Ive witnessed. I went back to the store and it was a different lady so got the other set.
What a palava, all for a teeny set of Lego :cool:0 -
