We've got our first Ocado order coming tommorow, I got the groupon deal : £45 for £50 worth of groceries and a 6 month delivery pass (not including 1st delivery charge). They are not somewhere i'd shop with for my main weekly shop (family of 8) but I will probably buy meat offers etc and they are the only place I can find Rankin fruit soda bread these days!

Tesco have been fine when we've used them for before, Asda were atrocious with none of the offers going through, we sent the delivery back and they still took the money out of our bank!

Sainsburys sent rotten fruit and veg.

Excellent Freshness meeting or exceeding their guarantees.

Delivery was only £2.99 which was good, 6am - 7am slot today. (I've been paying £5.50 or £5.75 delivery with Mr.T. / Mrs. S. the last few weeks!)

Some good bargains this week (£23 savings +£8 voucher on a £60 cash order!)

Clever how they list the goods by storage method and freshness.

Was really impressed by Ocado, also the food we've tried so far had had the thumbs up. It's too expensive for me to do my everyday shop there but I will certainly be buying the meat offers, fish bites etc from there then supplementing with fruit and veg etc from Aldi.

Tesco were good this week (a) Good dates on everything (b) driver put through a refund as he spotted 2 out of my 6 eggs were broken and let me keep the 4 (c) 100% order delivered.

Only disappointment: Fresh instore bread was bordering on stale - They must pick before their own instore bakery get chance to put out stock! I think I've only had 1 decent fresh baked loaf delivered this year from all grocers!

For once I was a little bit disappointed with Tesco, as had 6 substitutions, unusual for me. Think was it because I had taken advantage of the last day of a promotion, so a couple of items were out of stock.

I keep meaning to try Ocado, will defintely do so now following recommendations.

Got waitrose delivered for first time today, everything fine except I ordered 15 bags of the Waitrose essential amori pasta as its the nicest pasta I have tried and cooks in 5 minutes; for some reason my OH won't bother cooking any pasta that takes any longer so if I want him to cook me his lovely pasta quick cooking pasta is a must! Unfortunately 9 of the bags of the pasta were out of stock and they substituted them for the waitrose organic fusilli, which I decided to accept as they charged me the same price as the amori and so I got a bargain but think OH vis going to be miffed. Also none of the baby wipes (would have been £11 for 12 packs of 72) were in stock and they didn't try to sub those, nor any of the frozen veg I ordered; though that is probably a good thing in the latter case as my freezer is pretty rammed atm xx

Is there any good online order specilising in food ordering open source or paid solutions anyone can reccomend? Ideally that can be built into a site rather than an external site.

Had my first Abel and Cole order today. Didn't order a veg box so didn't get the cookbook free. Delivery only 99p minimum order only £10 and got some meat and poultry and organic stuff but only a little veg. All looks great, am pleased.

Thing that puts me off Ocado is the delivery charges whereas Waitrose does free delivery.

Waitrose dont deliver in my area.

Abel and cole were fab but sadly well out of my budget currently

Ocado - excellent service, quality. Good to use website. BUT comes out A LOT more expensive for my usual weekly shop.

Asda - definitely cheapest (significantly) for my usual wekly shop (including delivery) BUT service absolutely shocking, often late, hundreds of ridiculous subs, AND they do this really odd thing with their payment system where they often ring up to say my card has been declined (even when I check and acc is fine etc) and then they try so many times to take money bank ends up flagging it fraud and canceling my card. Has happened to me twice now and left me with no card for several days. Wont ever use again now.

Tesco - not used for a while, may try again. Found service not great but not as bad as asda. More expensive than asda though.

Sainsbury's more expensive than asda for my weekly shop, but not as expensive as ocado. Deliver good and reliable. rarely any substitutions. 1 hr slots at helpful times. quality good. the one im using right now.

but....I heard from one of the checkout staff in morrisons the other day they were starting on-line delivery later in the year....very hopeful!;)

Ocado - always late, no substitutions usually but good on the odd occasion there has been one, love the app, love last min changes, love delivery pass & savings pass. But always late!!!

Asda - mixed peppers = bag of green, squashed. delivery good, on time polite, helpful. Out of stock on instore made pizza?

    need to try waitrose!
