Integration of data between Halifax and Lloyds TSB

Are there any plans to share customer data between the two banks.
I was told the data held at Halifax is not seen by Lloyds TSB and vice versa.
Much like we both have Outlook installed on our computers but I can only see my emails and not yours but both use the same Outlook software. Will it now be like we can see each others email?

The original plan was that branch and call centre staff shouldn't be able to see your account details with the other brand.
My understanding is that this is still the case. Those working for LBG may be able to confirm that.
But I would expect the marketing database to be integrated. If a customer has a Halifax savings account and a Lloyds TSB current account you wouldn't include that customer in the list of marketing calls for current account switching for the Halifax branch to approach.0 -
I can confirm that in terms of account data staff cannot view LloydsTSB accounts if you are a Halifax Bank of Scotland colleague, and visa versa. The system WILL acknowledge the account exists, but that's about it. I can't confirm opinions4u about the marketing database, but it would make logical sense.

Annoys the f**k out of me that one bank does not offer what the other does and vice versa.0

Are there any significantly different service issues?0 -

But there are many organisations not just banks out there who are under the same chain but offer different products/services. If everyone offered the same life would be dull, uninteresting and we would all be sheep.
LTSB & Halifax/BOS trade under separate licences for starters and Halifax has a different customer base than LTSB.0 -
LLoyds bailed out Halifax - fact.
Halifax have an account that pays you £5 a month for paying in a grand a month - Lloyds don't.
Halifax offer better rates than Lloyds on ISA and online saver.
Because of that eff**g X I haven't had a dividend in 4 years!0 -

Oh for the days when I could close an account online! Open a joint account online. Open a child account online or by phone. Replaced by the technologically backwards!
What's with customers filling in deposit and withdrawal forms? So backwards!
What's with forms for everything these days? An attempt to go back to the dark ages?
If you want to talk about Corporate, then absolutely: HBOS was a crock of brown stuff.
Ultimately the state bailed both banks out.Halifax have an account that pays you £5 a month for paying in a grand a month - Lloyds don't.Halifax offer better rates than Lloyds on ISA and online saver.Because of that eff**g X I haven't had a dividend in 4 years!
Both brands going after the same customer groups would be madness though. As a shareholder going for a split brand approach gives more reach and greater chance to leverage profitability - surely good for you?0 -
IIRC the difference between them is supposed to be Halifax as the mass market bank for rate chasers and the average schmuck, whereas Lloyds is more for people who want a long-term relationship with their bank, full banking services etc.
Personally I wouldn't touch either with a bargepole, Halifax were bad enough under their own systems, now with a cocked-up integration of Lloyds TSB's I shudder to think what they'd be like.urs sinserly,

It is possible to see accounts from different brands but it's a unacceptable practice at this moment in time for any staffCan I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

Can they see closed accounts or is it just open? If they can see closed how long can they see them for. Or can they see both open and closed?
Would a lending restriction at the Halifax affect Lloyds TSB?0
