Has anyone used this firm www.a-quick-sale.co.uk to sell a house?
Not to sell and rent back just to sell to them.
Any comments or advice appreciated
Thanks

They don't appear to sell houses, they buy them.
I've never used them but I would expect to received 60 to 70% of the true market value by going down that route.0 -
To be blunt, this is a 'money saving' website, not a 'throw money at thieves and scammers' site, so it's unlikely anyone here has dealt with them.
Consensus on here is that these companies are out to fleece desperate home-owners. You'd be better off reducing the price through an estate agent until it sells.Retired in 2015.

Yes I take your point.
I have reduced the price to its minimum.
We lived in the house quite happily for years. When we moved we rented it out but we have been very unlucky in this department. We have had 4 different tenants and every one of them has caused us no end of problems so we decided to refurbish the property and sell.
It is a first time buyer or holiday cottage property priced @ £74950. Completly refurbished to a high standard. In a small village close to the M62 & the pennines.
I really thought it would have been snapped up by now.
I will just have to wait until the right buyer comes along.
The house is vacant so it is costing me money in council tax & house insurance now.
Sign of the times I suppose!0 -
Why not drop the price by £5k which is more than what you would get from one of these quick sale companies0

Assuming this is the same "A Quick Sale Ltd" (The only such named company listed by Companies House...) Companies house notes that they are...

Their website lists 3 directors with pictures..
http://www.a-quick-sale.co.uk/about/
..however Companies House notes about Directors .....
The website shows a Richard Watters as Managing Director.. (weird... how'd that happen if they had been terminated...??)05/08/2011 APPOINTMENT TERMINATED, DIRECTOR JEREMY BULLOCK
26/01/2010 APPOINTMENT TERMINATED, SECRETARY RICHARD WATTERS
25/09/2009 APPOINTMENT TERMINATED DIRECTOR JEREMY BROWN
'sfunny: I thought trading whilst in Liquidation was illegal.. I could of course be wrong.
I'd not go near this company, not trust them further than I could throw all of the Directors, and I have a bad back... If you were to sell anything to them (eg a used biro..) you might never see your money, then again you might...0 -

We have allready dropped the price by £5000 but no joy.
Our estate agent appears totally disinterested in selling our property yet they were keen enough to get our business 6 months ago?
It took them 6 weeks to put the for sale board in a position where it could be seen from the road!!
We have given them 6 more weeks to sell the house, if they don't we will take my business elsewhere.0 -
To be frank. These quick sale companies operate by setting their buying prices so low that they can put the properties on the market with an EA or at auction straight away and make a profit/sell quickly. We have allready dropped the price by £5000 but no joy.

As a result, you could get better value if you just dropped your price significantly (and 5k apparently wasn't significant enough, maybe 15k would do the trick). If I was really desperate to sell, I'd prefer going via an auction rather than via a quick sale company any day, although neither of these options are likely to give you the full market value.0
