Also there were some reports of these companies agreeing a (LOW!) price with you, then gazundering themselves once you were basically committed to a chain, stitching you up further.

    Yes I take your point.
I have reduced the price to its minimum.

We lived in the house quite happily for years. When we moved we rented it out but we have been very unlucky in this department. We have had 4 different tenants and every one of them has caused us no end of problems so we decided to refurbish the property and sell.
It is a first time buyer or holiday cottage property priced @ £74950. Completly refurbished to a high standard. In a small village close to the M62 & the pennines.
I really thought it would have been snapped up by now.

I will just have to wait until the right buyer comes along.
The house is vacant so it is costing me money in council tax & house insurance now.
Sign of the times I suppose!

Assuming that say £70k is the true market value, it is very unlikely that any of these quick-buy companies will pay you more than £45-50k. They may offer more initially then chip you down just prior to exchange. You would get much more on the open market.

(I am not talking about any particular one of these companies - just how they usually work.)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Do you have a link to your property online? Sounds very nice.
