The Free Pink hair dryer in the SUN

Warning: Tesco are not issuing the Pink hair dryer that has been offered in the Sun all this week.

I collected the coupons all week and took them to Tesco's this morning to get the hair dryer for my grandaughter, as there were none on display I asked at the service desk and was told they had to withdraw the offer because a lot of people had taken them back because they had blown up and was a fire hazard, so if you have one and not yet tried it please be careful.

As other posts. I collected a hair dryer this morning and had the same issue. Tesco told me to retain it as they are waiting upon instruction from supplier. I have opened the plug and the wires have been incorrectly. Think I will wait to see what response Fab mag has to offer!!

Fabulous - ahhh the magazine with the NoTW... this was the promotion that was supposed to go into what became the final issue and these have been sitting in a warehouse ever since.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL! DO NOT GIVE THIS HAIRDRYER TO CHILDREN.

I collected my hairdryer from Tesco today and within 20 seconds it blew up, threw sparks out of the end and tripped the electric.

/wonders if anyone is reporting these hair dryers to the relevant safety people....

It sounds like the cost of the Sun disposing of these hair dryers through landfill was probably higher than their value as hair dryers.

Maybe so, but people see the word free and all sense of reasons goes by they wayside in the greedy clamour to grabbit while they can.
