Does anyone know where I might be able to get financial help to get a new pc or laptop (preferrably, due to space). My current one is dying and the monitor is old and is detrimental to my eyesight. I don't have a job and can't afford the money right off the bat. Are there any organisations that help the unemployed in this way? Or friendly loan setups for such people? The DWP budgeting loans only work on set terms: you have to agree to their payment rates, which aren't always convenient (it's no good if i'm paying £20 a week back), besides i don't want to be in debt to the government if my benefits are stopped for some reason.

how is it dieing? if its just slow there are a lot of things you can do which could speed things up
and what monitor do you have?
the other thought would be what TV do you have as you can usually connect your computer to a tv (depending on the tv)
as to financial help i do notknow of any where that is likelt be able to offer something your after, although there is a loans board which might say if they know of any type of company that would do something like thatDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
 10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
 20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0

It's dying because it's very old and very slow and the monitor isn't very good quality so it strains my eyes. There isn't anything that can be done to upgrade it because it doesn't have the mobo power or room.0

Have you tried posting a request on "freecycle"?
