My goodness, what will our new friends on the thread think of us??:D

Dylan is, as mentioned above, moulting; so Mr LW has been tasked with Dysoning the bungalow.:o Bless him, he's being brilliant about doing the jobs I can't manage, but I confess the stoopid shoulder is really getting me narked now. I mean, I can't even peg washing out! I hope to goodness the physio-terrorist can do/suggest something to get it sorted, licketty-split, because I'm Fed Up with a capital Fed!

Afternoon all, a bit chilly today but dry. I have washing on the line but had to have the heating on for an hour. I love reading cookery books myself.
Oh is now snoozing on the other sofa after his busy day of fishing (caught one). Enjoy your evening all.

Had a good shopping trip, got loads of milk, fruit, veg and even two big bunches of flowers from Aldi. Also got frozen chicken strips in freezer for stir fries and currys and some pastry for quiches or apple pie etc.

Got yorkshire pudding tray from Wilkinsons, some new everyday tumblers as dishwasher seems to eat them and six tiny lidded casserole dishes - three orange and three blue - reduced from £3 each to £1. Even DH thought they looked good for the price.:j

We had fish and chips at lunchtime so no one is hungry yet and will probably just have a roll with salad and sliced meat later.

Feels as if it is getting really cold even with central heating on just now so going to have a hot drink and sit by the fire - dds are out so will have supreme power over telly watching. Not sure I can handle the excitement.;)

    Hugs to all

    Hi Everyone,
Breezing in and out as per, I always read and think about you all even though I don't always have anything interesting to post.
It was the May Day parade here today, it received the Royal Charter from Edward VII and is a really big event here. Locals joke that it has more extras than Ben Hur.It was Doodle's second year in the parade, last year he was Prince William on the Royal Wedding float, and this year he was a native American brave. Hope this link works

As it was going to be a big day out, and because I really couldn't stand the mess anymore, did a swift clean through of the kitchen/family room this morning, then dropped a car off at my friend L's who lives in the centre of the village as all roads were closing at 12.30. We then got Doodle ready , resplendant in war (face) paint, and with his axe which was a bit of a worry. We walked down for 1.30 and left him at the Assembley area, and waited ages for the parade to start, then ran from place to place to catch glimpses of him.The weather held out and it was a fab day. Then back to L's for cake and champagne, how much better can a day get.Just one glass though, as OH decided he would walk home with two of the other Dads ( including, bizarrely the one whose home we were in) so that they could linger via the pub and watch the first half of the Chelsea v Liverpool game.

Been home ages, had dinner, and am seriously contemplating the wisdom of having volunteered to play on the Mums' team at a Dads and coaches rugby match tomorrow morning. Am thinking that if I never catch the ball I will be quite safe, yes?
    Wishing everyone a peaceful evening.
    Love and kisses,
    D x
