Hi, this is the Daily Threadfor 5th May. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chatabout everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring andmotivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to dotoday or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) andjoin us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the
Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be awarethat many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, soplease don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help othersthat don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly butif not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you goto bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two dailythreads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each newdaily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you haveto though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does justas well.

Morning all
The dress worked a treat, twice & I was a bit optimistic about the length, but it was ok under the coat. The really good thing about PVC is that it is wipe clean, so I was able to wipe off the takeaway that I spilt down it, in fact I may invest in a whole new wardrobe of PVC to cut down on the washing, lol.
Hubby is enjoying a cuppa in bed, I'll start his breakfast in a sec & then drop him off at work. WM & DW are on, I've turned off one of my freezers & got old towels ready so I can defrost it, I'll do a freezer audit at the same time.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

    Good morning all,
Dulling over here now, it was lovely and bright first thing. Hubby fed the chickens etc on his way to work. He was out of here at 6.15. After that i enjoyed a lovely cuppa in peace. Girls were asleep (and they still are) and so was the dog.
Wm is on, possibly have to go on the airer. Chicken pieces are out of the freezer for tea, having them with potatoes and salad. Will be taking the dog out for a long walk today. I started a diet yesterday so i need all the exercise i can get!
Housework needs to be done, so i'll tackle that later when the girls are up and about.
I hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning all - can I join in the chat? :)

Had the opportunity of a lie in today, so woke up at 5.30 am :o *sigh*

Never mind, the washing machine has the first load on the go, the breadmaker is on, and the dishwasher is just waiting for the breakfast things. I'm hoping the sun stays out, because I have a LOT of washing to do today!! It's only me and DH, but we're both down to our last pair of undies!:rotfl:

The cat's been fed and had her morning cuddle, so I'm off back to bed with a cuppa! The plan for the rest of the day is cupboard inventory and batch cooking for the freezer. I also have an essay to write, so the bathroom will probably need cleaning first!:rotfl:

Have a good day everyone :)

Woke up thinking it was really late as I had slept so well and it was only around seven !

Having a cuppa (well pot of tea) and browsing on here till dds get up and then will cook a brekkie. Sun is trying to get out and mainly succeeding and nice view of the pedigree cattle in the field opposite.

DH taking me and dd out shopping later to aldi unless we go near a lidl as the fridge is looking empty. Need lots of milk, veg, fruit etc and they have started selling omega rich eggs which are really good. Their sweet potatoes are much cheaper than elsewhere and make a lovely soup with red pepper or burgers.

Trying to imagine DH and dds faces if I tried the idea of pvc clothing :rotfl: I'd resemble Dibber's "sausageinnabun!" Could be moneysaving though as dds and dh would not let me outside the house. Wish I had hester's "joie de vivre".

Went to York yesterday and bus fares have gone up but enjoyed a browse round the shops. Treated DH to a huge red mug for his tea as dd broke his old one weeks ago and had a look at the Boyses sale, tempted by their mini casserole dishes but could not face carting it all back on the bus. If we go anywhere near Wilkinsons today might see if they still have mini casseroles on sale there as we will have the car.

    Hugs to all

    Welcome Chelsea Bun.
Elona believe me it takes a lot of PVC to go round me & I'm sure most people would think I look a right sight in the dress, including me, lol. Sausageinnacottageloaf, would be more accurate, but what the hell, love is blind & so is hubby, lol.

The sunis shining, the birds are tweeting (though who pays for their smart phones i dont know) and i am in bed with a cuppa thinking hmmm probs should have gone to bed a bit earlier than 2... Birthday party tonight across the river -OH just hit on very good idea of taking left over puds from last night - lidl roulades nom nom. Was very enjoyable book club. Spoke to and made eye contact with neighbour had major fall out with about 4years ago. Didnt enjoy actual book much (sister by lupton) but we all have different tastes. One of us has a list of all the books we have 'done' -dont think there was a single one we all liked, nor one we all hated.
