you can get 'falsies' if you want to recreate the 'entire dog' look.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

LOL Glad he's feeling better xx

Thought it was standard practise now to use 2 or 3 days of pain relief these days though.
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

When one of ours had an op ( not the same as OP) he whimpered and didn't settle for hours when he came home, but was alright the next day, dont think it was all pain related but confusion as to what had gone on etc

Mine whimpered all night after coming home from his op, but I think it was because he felt drunk from the anesthetic rather than being in pain. The following day he had so much energy I could NOT keep him quiet!!

He was sent home with a weeks worth of pain relief though

I can remember previous mutt getting horribly confused after an op - she kept trying to find her bed in a room it hadn't been in for the previous 3 years and crying when she couldn't find it. Then when she finally came to and clocked that whimpering got her sympathy, well that was it. Amazing how quickly they pick up the stuff you really don't want them to, and take years not managing to learn any of the important things.

Glad yours is feeling so much better - shall we start a sweepstake on how long it takes him to get rid of the cone/do something he really shouldn't with it?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Here's some pics of Cooper, so you can see why I panicked! See how happy he is in picture 1 and 3!

Thanks to you all for all the advice! It's amazing how such a small thing can have that sort of op and be perfectly fine!

He has taken to using it as a battering ram! Only putting it on when we aren't around to supervise him 100% but he doesn't seem to mind it that much!

He looks such a happy doggie :D

My boy has to wear his cone a lot to stop him licking when his skin allergies flare up.

I used to always give him a treat when I put the cone on him, so now he loves wearing it! If I get it out then he runs and pushes his head in to it and sits waiting for his treat :)
