If you call Customer Services they will confirm, you can return online purchases including sale items instore for a full refund (providing you haven't paid by Paypal). The lady I spoke to contacted two of my local stores to inform them after I was refused a full refund as all sales assistants should be aware of this policy by now. I now have no problem returning any sale items purchased online to my local stores.
Sale items purchased in store can only be exchanged, it's been like this since 2011.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
The reason the stores do this is because when items are returned to them the stock goes back into the store inventory, not the online one (which is in effect ran as a separate "store"). Hence, they do not want to give you cash because it goes against the individual store's profits, whereas they hope that you would spend the credit in their store.
(I don't agree with it BTW, just explaining why!)0
