Like butdoineedit? I used the strong tesco bags - either the hessian style ones or the blue plasic with ladybirds - grew tomatoes in them last year, worked a treat! Obviously, all the supermarkets have their own versions and designs, and its up to you whether you leave the handles on or cut them off

have a look for builders with skips (I know rare these days now that Thatchers credit bubble has burst)
