You wont be on any receiving end of anything if you just follow the good joint advice of not entering any dialogue whatsoever with them.
We have seen people reduced to living wrecks on here by opening other peoples letters and trying to play the good Samaritan, some of theses debt sharks are real nasty work and will treat you as a Liar that is trying to hide from them and to be honest, why would you open someone else's mail ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. never opened it, I know that when youopen mails you admit guilt, because "why would you open mails that aren't addressed to you"..
I read bits of it by putting it up against a lightbulb, as posted earlier.0 -

No. It's only illegal if you do it with the intention of causing the recipient detriment or harm. If you merely open something to see what it is, it's not illegal."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

No. Not in the slightest as long as it has been correctly delivered to the address on it and you do not use the contents to the detriment of the addressee.0 -

vax was asking a rhetorical question, he/she was not accusing you of anything.
Just take his/her advice and you'll be fine0 -
Personally I would post this on the motoring and public transport thread for advice. Not suggesting that the advice here is not correct but you may get further advice there.Always get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0
