Hi Everyone
Thank you for your kind thoughts about the rev. Needless to say the crutches are still reposing on the back seat of the car. The anti-inflamatories are doing their stuff and she is getting about without too much trouble.
We've been out to the College lunch today - so eat your heart out Islandmaid if you are lurking, gorgeous Henry was there being crushed to death in a bear hug from the rev. I contented myself with a smile and wave.
As we were out to lunch it will be a ham sandwich for tea. I got a big gammon joint from the butchers and cooked it for my DiL2B as she has a house full this weekend. I chopped the untidy end off for us and it was DIVINE. I was most reluctant to pass it over. Nothing like the thin, watery offerings you get in plastic packets.
Tomorrow we are celebrating DS's 40th. I have helped them out quite a bit recently with the move and all, so was told that he would be very embarrassed if I turned up with a present. But I copied an idea I got from somewhere on this forum and have made him a Millionaire's hamper. A Piggy Bank, a game of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, A book How to be a Millionaire, a bar of chocolate - One in a Million, Millionaire's Shortbread, A Euromillions Lottery ticket and some shiny new £1 coins scattered around. It looks quite good.
We've just had some visitors who looked around and said that they could see what sort of week we'd had. I think it was the piles of papers all over the place, donated tins of food for the drop-in food bank stacked up in the hall, a couple of bags for the sale and coffee morning tomorrow, some washing on its way upstairs, tulips lying exhaustedly over the sides of their vase............. They should have come on Monday, the house looked lovely then.

Evening everyone
I want some sunshine, took dog for his walk this morning and shoes were wet through again. We met up with his friends so he had a lovely play and lots of exercise. Got roped into entering a sunflower competition in the village. then went to meet another friend for coffee and cake, enjoyed free coffee as had filled my loyality card which saved me a couple of pound. I was so tired this afternoon that I went for an afternoon nap, most unusual for me.
os today - loaded dw and put on, kitchen cleaned. Have done a little sewing on my new project from my craft group, nearly finished my sheep.
((Hugs)) to Molly, LW, PP and lou.
Bitsy - hope you are feeling better.
HH - Hope youve had a good night.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care and enjoy the rest of your evening.0 -
