Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 3nd May. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning,

Julie - :hello:Glad you've returned :)
MG - Hope the Rev's leg feels better soon x
Adelight - Massive hugs to you today xx

Have lovely days xx

    Morning all
Hugs to Molly & thanks for the WB Elona.
I have one son & one nephew who are Jedi, May the forth be with them & you all too. Between me & my 4 kids we have one agnostic, one atheist, one Wiccan, one Jedi & one Christian.
Off to work soon, TFI Friday, still one machine down, still trying to produce 1500 exam papers, nightmare.
No OS today as I'm treating hubby to a take away as he should finish at 8, going to buy the takeaway in my new PVC dress will mean wearing my long coat over it, at least it will take his mind of his blisters, lol. WM & DW are both on, hubby will empty both when he gets up.

DD seemed to be a it better last night, but still with a sore throat and temp, so will keep her off today, hopefully another day will see her right.

    Good Morning All

Very cheery start to the thread this morning :D has brightened me on this wet and miserable morning.

Aim today - do essential stuff only in the office this morning, then clean the bathrooms and give my bedroom a good going over.

Need to go to work tonight to pick up some paperwork so have decided to pop into Lakeside on the way and have dinner at the food court - not too expensive and everyone can have exactly what they want.

Looking forward to the three day weekend no phone calls or work trauma's, though the weather forcast is not nice.

Enjoy your day's and (((hugs))) to anyone who needs one.x

    Morning everyone

HH - sounds like your DH is in for a treat, I think he'll forget about his blisters!!

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Pouring with rain, windy and generally cold here again this morning. DH up and off to work stupid early this morning.

Was reasonably productive yesterday, got the housework done, washing, drying and ironing, went to the dentist, ouch! but was ok, stopped off at Sainsbugs as have to drive past to get home and decided to stop there to buy birthday cake and a couple of bits for the HM pizza DS2 had requested for his birthday meal. Got to the checkout and asked the Cashier if I could use my nectar points against my shopping, I could, so a £18.85 became a £5.85 bill - result! Managed to get the bags packed for going away tonight - so will take bags and put in the caravan ready to leave later.

Managed to get through to Tax Credits too, looks like we may still just be entitled to the minimum amount, I'm just waiting for mine and DH's P60s then I'll have a clearer idea, but would be handy if we do still get it as we'd be £40 down a month if not.

Have several jobs to do today, will be going to the bank and building society shortly, food shopping, then need to do a quick bit of baking, have over half DS2's birthday cake left, so will take that and make some other bits too. I'm going to meet DH down at the caravan storage and we'll leave straight from there, leaving my car in the caravan space, and I'll collect it on the way home when we put the caravan back. Have menu planned so have a reasonable idea of next week's meals just need to make sure I've got plenty for the weekend.

Have a great Friday and Bank Holiday weekend x

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
