    Hi, never enough,

I can see where you're going now.
A couple of things...How far is the toilet from the soil pipe?
Can you lift a floorboard and see what the pipe is made of under the floor. ?
Another possible concern is the new 6 litre flush on new toilets these days might not carry the waste over the same distance as the old flush.

    More later

plumb1 - The Multikwik fits on the WC above the floor, surely?

    Correct!
But the OP wants to extend and move back the cast-iron soil pipe under the floor.
As they have an old L/L S trap pan connected to it, and they want a Close Coupled which will mean moving the soil closer to the wall.

plumb1 - but using the Multikwik avoids the need to extend the existing soil pipe - that's what it's designed for.

sorry, but im confused too? you talk about too far forward and then about extending the soil pipe?

Sorry, I tried to explain but it was a bit confusing.
The soil pipe comes in a straight line underfloor from the opposite side of the room to the toilet. By extending the soil pipe towards the far wall (opposite side of house to where it enters the building) I would be able to fit a close coupled toilet which isn't as deep (front to back) as the current low level toilet. Hope that makes more sense?:o
