Its definitely from a private person? If so just ignore it as its just a piece of paper with lines on it. Ignore all ""legal requirements"" as they (signs and lines) mean nothing on private land. This is assuming its all on private landI'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

How can a private landlord have road signs? That is a council/govt agency matter.
If this is a genuine private ticket (who issued it), then ignoring it completely is your best option. You may even find the letter chain for the sharks concerned in the forum sticky.

Can you confirm that this happened on private land (i.e. not council owned or maintained)?
Does the ticket mention the Road Traffic Act anywhere on it?Je Suis Cecil.0 -
hi and yes this is classed as private land and no i cant see anything on fine saying this0

Only councils and the police can 'fine' you for parking.
This person is merely trying to hoodwink you.
The charge is completely unenforceable in court and you should just ignore it.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

unfortunatly i paid the fine because i was told i would have to pay £90.00 but i stated it was under protest but i still want to report them if possible to highlight the fact there road markings do not comply with every day driving which in my belief is confusing to drivers especialy when they are fining people0

Let me guess. Was the invoice you received from APCOA, by any chance?
(BTW - This was not a fine - no private individual or company can fine anyone)My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

As we've already mentioned in this thread, these are not fines, the company in question do not have the legal power to fine anyone.
Not sure who you'd report them to. Road markings on private land are legally meaningless so they could paint pink spots if they wanted to. They don't have to conform to any legal directive.
If you've paid then its game over, but in case you get any more, you need to understand that legally you do not have to pay these tickets.Je Suis Cecil.0
