Hello everybody and hugs to all - PennyPincher as well if she can float down from the ceiling :D

Steady stream of people walking past my house to the polling station so don't forget to vote!

I've been working since 7.30 - I'm having a few problems as I'm not getting as much work as I really need and yesterday got the impression I was regarded as a "general" typist - with 20+ years medical terminology experience in some pretty difficult areas (HIV, brain cancer, hepatology etc) I was not impressed  Anyway, trying to get as much as I can in the morning and have sent my CV off to a couple of places although I have noticed a huge tendency now to not even acknowledge applications..... :(

OH is out at football tonight so I will be having the remains of last nights mash as bubble and squeak with some bits and bobs of veg in. He's also finally left out his jeans for me to repair.

Last night we took something back to B&Q we hadn't used (my nagging) and got £15 back, then on the way back we felt the car was a bit "odd" so we stopped and there was a nail in one of the tyres - must've picked it up in the B&Q carpark. So back home tried to take the tyre off to change it and of course the nuts were last put on with one of those hydraulic gizmos so we couldn't get them off. Had to call out breakdown cover as it was free to do it in the dark. So now OH has had to go to work with his spare tyre which he doesn't like (!) and will have to get the old one de-nailed at lunch. So much for getting a £15 refund :rotfl:

Quick question. We bought some turkey on Sunday but because of being ill I never did a roast dinner and it's use by this Sunday. OH is muttering that it will go off but surely if I use it on Sunday it will be okay? I've put it in the freezer just to shut him up :rotfl:I'm making a curry today for tomorrow (pepper and mushroom as we have them to use up) and he kept going on last night about putting the turkey in there..... why when I've said we'll have a roast dinner with it on Sunday? Sometimes I wonder whether blokes actually listen to us Old Stylers ;) Am I mad?

Right I hope you all have a nice day, overcast with sunny bits here and a bit blowy but still having problems so still no gardening.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Morning everyone,

Sistercas and Redruby hope that your DDs get better soon.

Hugs to Adelight, Marie, LW and Molly.

PP positive thoughts heading your way.

Happy birthday to young master nmlc.

RIE give the turkey a sniff but if it use by this sunday then it should be fine. Maybe with you being ill recently you may not want to risk it.

Quietish morning at work today. All my classes are older and therefore a bit less excitable, which is good as I could do with a bit of a rest!

Going to the supermarket this evening as I have a really busy weekend and I don't think that I will be able to fit it in.
MIL is arriving tomorrow for the weekend and my mum and dad are coming for lunch on sunday. MIL is brilliant to have around and just fits in with everything that we do.

Tea tonight is HM chilli as we are eating in shifts due to DD2s netball training.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

Well I've put it in the freezer now just to shut him up LOL. I see no point in using it before I have to when I can get a roast dinner out of it on Sundayjust because he's muttering about chicken and turkey "not keeping".... and yet surprisingly milk a couple of days past it's sell by date is "fine".... :D

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Morning

Been mia for a bit, DH made last minute trip home so lovely to spend weekend as a family and we even managed a night out just the 2 of us. Good news DD has got a job, working in well known burger chain. She is actually looking forward to it and I am pleased for her (and my purse).

OS will have wraps for tea with LO chicken, there will be some for packed lunches tomorrow. DW done, didnt bother with WM as still have 2 loads drying on airer from yesterday, although it did get a blow outside for a while. Downstairs vaccumed, meals for next week planned, been through cupboards and freezer and made a list for tomorrow.
Need to get waterproofs out as now off to work and guess what, its raining.
    Thoughts to all.
    Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

Brain is exploding with stress right now, I am too busy to get upset if I'm honest! The people me and OH are attempting to rent a house from are being !!!!!!, they now want a 6 month break clause which I am 99% certain is because they think they can get more money for it(they can't, it has been empty for months because they asked for too much and are too fussy) and want to use us as a stop gap. I am so tempted to tell them to do one. I did tell OH about Nan but apparently his ears just switched off and was very confused when I said I'm going to the funeral directors today with mum + sis?!
Uni have confirmed moving some of my deadlines so I now have final exams, dissertation hand in, assignment, ou assignment, presentation, funeral in the space of one week. Sorry for my moaning but there is just so much going on right now, I would say I can't cope but it's not really an option, I have to cope!

Adelight, firstly, I'm sorry for your loss.

Second, check out the Shelter website for advice on what they can & can't put into a tenancy here
