Tesco Mobile help
My son took out a monthly contract with Tesco Mobile at £40 per month for an iphone. unfortunately he does irregular hours and gets paid fortnightly so hadn't enough money in his bank when the monthly charge came through, (he had been paying for almost a year with no problem) the payment was refused and the bank charged him fees causing him further debt. Whenever the bill was presented again it was refused and because of this Tesco cancelled the contract and has since sent him a bill of over £600 which they insist he must pay within 7 days. I rang Tesco and pleaded on his behalf as he didn't want to cancel the contract and agreed to pay the monthly outstanding sum, but because he apparently ignored their texts and emails regarding the unpaid bill they said they had no choice but to cancel the contract. Fair enough but can they make him pay within 7 days, he can't afford it and neither can I and I don't want him ending up with a poor credit rating before he has even got started. Really worried about this, anyone know what I can do?:(

Sorry but he will get a poor credit rating he will get a strike on that for none payment for breaking the contract
As for the 7 days notice yes they can give it but getting the money is a different thing
you might be better of ringing again and tell them you haven't got that sort of money and you may be able to pay them so much a week or month all depends on what custom service person you get
i would ring again you never know they may even re-enable his contract but it would be better if your son rings and explains.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

Thanks for this, but if the sales person is anything like the first one we got, he has no chance!0
