Nearly every other car on the road these days has a cheap £250 DVLA plate. Just makes you look like a sheep.

If I was to get a personal plate I'd make sure I'd invest in a dateless one.

Unfortunately, dateless registrations are not very good when it comes to spelling out names.

I have a prefix registration which spells out my surname (very similar to your name LEE), which cost me £250 and I'm very happy with it. My son also has one that spells his nickname. If you wanted to offer £3.5k for either, we might consider it! Then you could come and join the flock. :)

  • If a number plate is on the DVLA website then that is the only place it can be bought from. Any company offering it for sale will have to buy it from the DVLA. Normally they will buy it in your name and have the paperwork sent to you. And as in Tony's post charge you £79 for doing it.
