Virgin retention deal for around £5 - possible?
I'm coming up to the end of a contract with Virgin and will probably be leaving them as they don't do the phone I want. But if I could get a really good Sim-only deal with them I might stay. Has anyone got a really good deal with them? Or is £5 per month too much to hope for? I don't need much in the way of minutes and data - 200mins and 250Mb of data would be fine. Thanks for any help.

I called them last night after seeing someone on HDUK get a good deal. I got 600 mins, 3000 texts and 1gb data on a rolling month contract for £5.43 a month. Snapped up the deal! Give them a call."It's official, MSE's harbouring total fruitcakes">^..^<0

Hi
I was the one who posted the deal on HDUK yesterday.
I am with virgin mobile sim only for past 9 months and I was on 800 xnet mins, 3000 virgin mins, 3000 texts and 1 GB Data for £6.43 per month.
I phoned yesterday to see what they could do, and I got 3000 xnet mins, 3000 virgin mins, 5000 texts and 5 GB Data for £5.99 per month.
As in the past each month a discount was being applied on my account, so now each month I will be getting £20 discount per month to bring the price down to £5.99, originally the package I which I was given yesterday costs £25.99.
This is 30 day rolling sim only deal. I've never had a problem with them adding the discount each month and I've never had to call them to apply the discount, it gets applied automatically.
Give them a call, they seem to be very good at giving existing customers good deals.
Hope this helps.

I have a £5.32 deal on retention) - 200 mins, 3000 text, 1 GB which is plenty for me and a £10 discount is supposed to be applied each month. In the last 12 months I have had to call them 6 times to get it to be applied.
Emails tend not to be answered so it takes a patient call to Customer Services (not sure where in the world they are based so listen carefully) for them to apply it manually.
A bit of a PITA but I have credit on the account so cannot leave quite yet....0 -
