It would've been a lot informative if you'd give a reason in your first post.
To just say No sounds like a parent saying to their small child "No".
And the reason being, ..... Cos i say so.
You posted it. The OP asked about a specific laptop and you posted a link to some very old PCs??
So the no should have been evident already at that point.
Anyway, if you were considering them, forget about it.0 -
Erm ...... yes.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

If on a tight budget, I have put together this deal.
for £200 you cant really go wrong with this deal, although i would be tempted to put 4gb of ram in it for ~£15 instead of the 2gb for £9
something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ram-memory-DDR3-8500-1066MHz-laptops/dp/B006C1IBQG/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1335987259&sr=1-1Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
By the way its a acer 5332 and not 55320

What you want to be asking is how old it is, What OS,( I'm assuming it's Vista as the Sony was and Vista IMO is sluggish and frustrating to use) whats the battery life like. I would try to reduce the price depending what the answers are.
Personally if it has Vista I would pay abit more and get a refurb with warranty and Win 7 on it.
It's actually got Windows 7 64 bit home addition0 -

Not a bad idea.0 -
For a benchmark it is worth looking on ebay's completed sales for yr model. However the two 5332's sold recently (around £100) both had the celeron t3000 cpu, and other bitsn bobs which would make the friend's more attractive. But £190 is way over the top, he might get £125 or so if lucky.0

No, I suggest that you either go for a cheapie that does what you need(for under £200 as illustrated) or move up to a second generation i3 with HD3000 graphics if you are looking to spend £300+.
The laptops to which you link don't offer much more than the cheap one in my link.0 -

Ok thanks for that, I don't mind spending £300 plus if someone can point me out a decent laptop for the extra cash, I don't understand computer setups although I have no trouble operating them, so ok I will push my budget to 300 to 400, please suggest a good laptop for me please0
