Travel to Wembley on Saturday - from M1 direction

Hi all, hoping for some advice on getting to/from Wembley stadium on Saturday.
I've looked at posts already and it seems driving to Watford/Rickmansworth tube stations - parking - then getting tube seems best option. Anyone recommend this? (Also, what time the carparks may be full?)

Watford Junction British Rail station has a huge carpark attached to it. You can then get a local train to Wembley Central from there. I have seen lots footie fans there on Wembley days
Not sure there is much parking at Ricky or Watford underground stations. Chalfont & Latimer may be another option0 -

There is a multi storey at Ricky that is also part of Waitrose supermarket?
If going to Ricky come off M1 at J6A for M25 and follow signs for Heathrow. Leave M25 at J18 and follow the A404 (left turn at top of off slip) towards Ricky. At large roundabout -approx a mile - take third exit A412 and then take first left (pretty quick after exit) onto Homestead Road follow signs for superstore for the car park - approx 200 metres on right0 -

Parking not great at Watford underground, you can park locally, but would need to know your way around.
Stanmore is a good option for Wembley, though for the Everton Liverpool game the other week the car park was already full at 9.30am, street and some other paid parking is available but will be gone fairly early too. Ricky station is good as its in the town centre, as loobs suggested. Chorleywood isn't bad either, though trains aren't quite as frequent. Chorleywood is often overlooked as an option, we went into all of the American football games at Wembley from there and always got a seat. Stanmore is off J4 M1, Rickmansworth J17 or 18 from M25, Chorleywood J18.
If you come to London on even an occasional basis consider getting an Oyster card as the fares are way cheaper once past the initial investment. They are £5 to buy, but once you have one tickets are much cheaper. For example, Chorleywood to Wembley is £4.30 each way standard fare, or £1.50 with an Oyster card at weekends. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Stanmore has some on street parking if car park is full and you can go towards the next Station in which is Canon's Park which also has off street parking.0

At the bottom of the M1 is Brent cross shopping centre, it has free parking. The 83 bus goes to wembley in around 20 minutes from there.0

Stanmore car park can be a nightmare to get out of. Took a whole hour to get out after coming back from a take that concert at wembley. However it is very convenient for the M1.0

And Brent Cross at around 3.30 on a Saturday afternoon, can take ages to find a parking place. And on Cup Final Saturday it will be worse to be in and out.
Other option is Pinner. Just follow A404 for about 8 miles from M25 J18. You can park in the station car park for about £3 and Wembley Park station is about 15 mins on the Metropolitan Line.
Other option from Liverpool is to use M40 in lieu M1. At Hillingdon Circus, off A40 about 1.5 miles from end M40, turn off to Hillingdon Station and again take Met Line to Wembley Park - this is the Uxbridge branch.0 -
Cheers guys, think I'll opt for Ricky - what kind of time do you reckon before it fills up though?0

Its a popular choice on a saturday anytime of the year but this sat will be daft. Although KO isnt till gone 5 I think you will struggle anytime after 9 TBH but of coarse peeps will be in and out all day so grabbing a spot is possible . Good luck. Last time i went to Wembley (in a car) i parked just outside the ground for free .Was Tranmere Rovers V Bristol Rovers . train the night before or early coach for me but no ticket this time . "sad" hope they win YNWA:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
