Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 2nd May. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning all,

Its not raining :j:j, shame I am off to work, never mind, keeps the wolf from the door :D

I took dd to the Dr in the end yesterday, he said he needed to see us, she has got tonsillitis, he has given her some tablets, I got her up this morning so see if she is ok for college, and she feels dreadful, so a few days at home for her I think.

Dinner tonight is chicken casserole and rice, casserole is ready, just needs putting in the oven when I get in.

Will do a wash tonight, I find little and often are better in this weather.

Hugs to Adelight and Marie xxxx

Have good days all xx

    Morning everyone

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Cloudy overcast but not raining as yet. DH up and off to work stupid early. Work was busy yesterday and I was cashiering for part of the day on my own - so didn't get away until late but got there in the end.

Dinner was fish, chips/jacket, beans/veg - menfolk all had haircuts and I've been re-blonded - feels so much better. Dinner tonight will be pork chops, mash, veg and LO's cauli/broccolli cheese, yorkshires and gravy.

Working until lunchtime, then on day's off with the added bonus off a Bank Hol Monday so only got to work 1 and half days next week, and another Bank Holiday weekend to look forward in a couple of weeks time too. Will be trying to get on top of all the jobs that need doing as we're going away Friday night and we're away the following weekend, that's just me and DH - we're off to London as he has a meeting on the Saturday - I get to nosey round London - yah!

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

    Morning :hello:

Adelight, so sorry about your nan
Meanmarie, I'm sorry. How are you today?

The stress is over  I fell asleep on the settee last night, mr tru woke me up at 10ish and I dragged myself to bed, where I slept all night. I can't remember when I last had a whole night of uninterrupted sleep. I woke up this morning in a daze, it took me a while to realise what day it is :D I feel worn out now, but in a good way.

So a lazy day for me. Mum is taking me out for pizza at lunchtime, the rest of the day I'll be just pottering about.

    Morning,

Adelight - Sorry to hear your news :(
Miffy - Men also like to leave a nice covering of shaven hairs in the sink too bleurgh....

Was up and showered by 6 this morning, DH bought me a cuppa in bed at 5.30am, so was awake then. Have just finished my PF ironing, then it's the school run, then a dog walk/jog (have my fitness gear on:o), then drop PF ironing back, home to clear this bomb site  and it really is shocking.

Tea tonight Pork Chops mash and cheese sauce, really need to make some twinky flapjacks for PL's too.

    Have lovely ones xx

Morning all, easy day today, porridge for breakfast with fruit, left over soup for lunch & left over curry for tea as there is no room in the freezer. Looks like it has stopped raining so oh can plant the rest of the broadbeans. Regards to all.
