Used to Nokia - What Are My Options?

Hi
My OH is currently on a contract and has a Nokia phone; he's used to how they operate but is almost out of contract and there's very few Nokias on the market at the moment.
What other phones are easy to find your way around after a few days?

I don't know any that are difficult, but your question makes no sense really.
Nokias start from £5ish and go as high as £500ish. So do other phones. You really have to say what you mean.0 -

The fact that the contract is coming to the end of it's term doesn't mean to say you can't carry on using the Nokia phone you already have. Do you want to change it?
If, for example, the contract was for 24 months, then the company you are with will continue to charge you on a monthly basis until you cease the agreement.
You don't say how much per month you are paying, or usage requirements, but there are many sim only deals available of varying lengths, some monthly, some 12 month etc. which would probably work out much cheaper and allow your OH to keep using his current phone. The only thing you need to check is whether the phone is locked to a particular phone company and, if so, get it unlocked at minimal cost.
Should you decide to switch to a new deal then you would need to get a pac code from your current provider (assuming you want to keep your number) and then give notice of ceasing the contract.
Alternatively, your current provider could offer you are better deal (ie cheaper) to keep your business.
If you provide an idea of what minutes/texts and data you require there are many people on this site who will be able to provide some very useful guidance for you.
Hope this helps.0 -
Terminate the contract on the due date (it won't end unless you do). If th phone works fine, buy a PAYG SIM for the same network, and if you want to keep the old number, take that with you too.
Then look forward to no expensive monthly debits you don't really need.0 -

The question was regarding a new phone not PAYG/Contract woes.
You need to tell us what phone your OH is currently using. If it's a Nokia 3210 then i'd suggest going for a 'classic' model, basically a brand new phone modelled on the old handset.
If your OH is using a smartphone, go for a Lumia. It's likely they're used to Windows and there's a seamless integration for that and xbox.
Or why not dabble in other areas. Sell the phone on ebay, sellmymobile or onbay recycle and go with the Samsung or HTC models coming out now. Android is Android at the end of the day.0
