My Vitapurr samples and 2 x Alpha samples (Alpha now own Vitalin who make Vitapurr) came in the post yesterday. I fed to some of my cats who seem to like it.:) However, it may be because it is something different.
The Vitapurr has 30% protein where as the Alpha has 32% but then the Alpha's main ingredient is wheat ?? It later says that it is gluten free.
The Vitapurr has added taurine but the Alpha foods don't. So inclined more towards the Vitapurr.
Vitapurr is £34.81 for a 15kg bag (£2.32 / kg)0 -

Same here & many thanks for the heads up!
Daisy's a bit sceptical as she can be fussy...0 -
Burns is excellent dried food - mostly available online
http://burnspet.co.uk/assets/files/downloads/cat_guide.pdf
I v rarely buy it from the producers as I buy some of my wet & other supplies online from Zooplus
however I would suggest supplementing with some raw/wet so they get more moisture oil = enjoyment out of food!0 -

Yup - mine too! I have put some out in a separate bowl (so I can see if it's being eaten) and it's been picked at ..... will keep persevering!rita-rabbit wrote: »Burns is excellent dried food - mostly available online

Unfortunately neither of mine touched it!
I am, however, about to order a bag of the dog food to try so thanks again to Penny_PinchaGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

I find Zooplus way too expensive.:(
I feed Hills Oral Care 5kg. They charge £63.98 for 2 bags I buy it for £40.72.
I also feed Royal Canin British Shorthair 10kg, Zooplus price £46.90, I pay £36.26.rita-rabbit wrote: »however I would suggest supplementing with some raw/wet so they get more moisture oil = enjoyment out of food!
I buy wild raw rabbit from a local-ish game dealer for £1 for a pound of meat. That is £2.27 a kg. Cheapest way I know to feed wet food. My cats love it a do well on it too.
Hope your dog likes the Vitalin Rising.:)0 -
My gang love James Wellbeloved. It certainly helps my 'Coon with fur balls (as does Hills Hairball) and their coats etc are in tip top condition. Good food is worth the extra.2012 Wins: 1 x Case of Lanson Champagne :beer:0

James Wellbeloved is good quality made by the same company as Royal Canin. However, I consider Royal Canin very quality too but paying less for a good product isn't the same as buying 'cheap'.
I like to buy quality food at the cheapest price possible, which is why when I find out something I post it on here so others can benefit from what I find out.:)0 -
