Help Please - Unlocking a Samsung E700 on Orange
Hi,
I have been given a Samsung E700 for my daughter that has come to the end
of its pay monthly contract.
On the Orange website it says they charge £20 to unlock it  ( despite the fact the owner has fully paid a 12 month contract).
Do you know how to unlock this phone ? or a good website.
Thanks for your help.

Found this posted on the net although I do not know if it works or not.Use at own risk.
How do I unlock a Samsung E700?
Just type: *2767*688#
You'll lose your settings, but all data should stay.
And if you want to double check that the locks are cleared, just type: *#7465626#0 -
the newer ones need to be unlocked by clip but yours sounds like the older one so abve code should work
if not try this:
E700 UNLOCK CODE
Unlock Code
Code 1: *2767*688#
Code 2: #*7337#
Entering Code instructions
1. Take out the SIM card from the phone and switch the phone on.
2. Enter code 1 code into your handset.
3. Now replace your SIM card and turn the phone on.
4. Your handset should now be unlocked.
5. If your handset is still locked then follow the same procedure but entering
code 2 instead.
If the above fails to unlock your handset we have 2 alternatives which you may use below.
1st Alternative Solution:
1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey.
Choose number 7. Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalised.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it. Power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeros.
Test your phone with a different SIM card to see if it is unlocked. If unlocked the procedure is completed.
2nd Alternative Solution:
If after using the above two solutions has failed to remove the lock on your handset it is possible that your handset
may have a second security lock.
This extra lock is placed on certain Samsung handsets and unfortunately it’s impossible to know this before hand.
However here is another solution which you can try.
Power on the mobile phone without SIM card inside and type these codes:
*2767*63342# and press green button
*2767*3855# and press green button
*2767*2878# and press green button
*2767*927# and press green button
*2767*7822573738# press green button0 -
john-306 & drahcir thanks for your help.
The '2767' code worked. It came up with a 'E2P MVT Reset' message and the numbers entered after the second * showed as '-' signs on the screen. It is now working fine on Virgin.
Thanks again.0
