I am paying someone to do my hair, but doing my own make up.

I want my hair up, and there is no way I can do my own. I was going to get someone to do my make up, buying was getting worried about looking too made up. I don't usually wear make up, so want a very natural look, no fussy eyes etc. so then I realise I would be paying someone to do something which would in fact be very simple! So I have been practicing, brought (was given for my birthday) good makeup, n I am now happy with doing my own. :)

I was going to do my own hair and make up, as had no budget for a pro to do it, but my lovely siblings have offered to pay for it.

It's well worth it if you have the budget and aren't entirely confident about doing it yourself (I was concerned about whether I would be able to do my hair well enough, and possible nerves on the day affecting eye make up application!), and it's lovely to be pampered on your wedding day! But, if you are sure you can do it and/or can get lots of practice in beforehand, and feel the money would be better spent elsewhere, then do your own.

I'll be getting someone to do my hair, as there's no way that I would be able to do it on my own without it falling down or getting messy. Doing my own make up though as I wear make up quite often and know the look that I want.

    Hi,

I'm having someone do my hair for me as i'm not very good at doing it. I wear it tied up at work & then straighen it & leave it down on a weekend & both look good. But for my wedding I want something different & I know I won't be able to do it. I'm doing my own makeup have got new colours etc & practisng so will be happy to do it on the day.

    Hi,

I am having my hair and make up done professionally, its a bit of luck though as my Mum is a hairdresser, so her boss will be doing us all, and I know the Make up artist from a previous job and she is happy to do it at a good rate.

If I was on a budget though, I would always choose having my done hair over make up :)

I'm another one paying a professional to do my hair, but am doing my own make-up.

I'm really excited about having my hair done properly. We've got The Vintage Salon stylists coming to give me and my four bridesmaids Mad Men-inspired styles. I will be rocking a Joan Holloway look! :D

I'm doing my own make-up, I only really wear mascara and occasionally concealer when I either have bags or a pimple. I am confident in doing my own though as I used to wear it all the time when I was younger and have been practicing most weekends. Just need to find a good base so I don't look too pale (my graduation photo's I look very very pale and only had concealer and powder on) and a good mascara as what I used to use is no longer stocked.

For my hair I am having someone else do it, not sure what I want as I don't really want it up but with it being layered it may be hard to curl it without me looking like a poodle so having someone else do it seems like a good option.
