    Xmas Saver!
I got my Mums calendar today, so I only need to get my Dads cheese board and I am done. :snow_laug:snow_laug .

Got everything to make the coasters today. I won't say how much I spent, as typing it may make my cry with fear.

I am not going to start them until next weekend. I am waiting on a few bits from Ebay and am going to Lakeside/Ikea on Wednesday. If I wait till then I will have more bits and will be able to make more things.
That way while the glue is dying on the tiles I can make the bookmarks to take my mind off the tiles.:rotfl:

I have been making things all my adult life, but for some reason this is really freaking me out:eek:

Am also going to make a Bah Humbug Advent. The idea came to me in a sleepless moment last night.

I bought a square framed blackboard from the 99p shop. I am going to mask off vertical stripes and paint them white. Then I am going to glue painted mini pegs on the board and number them. Off each peg I will hang a Humbug.

:rotfl:It looks great in my head.:rotfl:
  • OMO- that sounds great! I love how you say the idea came to you in a sleepless moment, I also have craft thoughts when I can't sleep! Could you tell me how to make the tea card please? Or direct me to instructions please? I would love to send one to a dear friend for Christmas, it's such a sweet thought.

I am going to adapt this idea that is for hot chocolate. The link comes with a youtube tutorial.

To make an actual card, you can make one as normal , then inside glue a piece of card on three side, to make a pocket for the tea.
  • Own my Own, been looking through the links of things you are hoping to make & I think they are all brilliant ideas!! I would buy them!

Im having a trawl through ebay since I get paid on Weds, may cry with happiness, not shopping has been a killer this month! Hopefully no unexpected bills appear this month!

Also hello to the newbies! :)
  • Thanks SO much OMO- I shall have a go!

  • Had a smashing day out with DD today...went to Chester which is just my favourite place! I was very restrained too although I did buy my Christmas Day PJ's £8, a Mickey Mouse bathmitt £1.50 and a beanie frog £2 both for DGS stocking (all in Primark):)

I was in Poundland today and they had some 'Coca Cola' mugs, looked kind of retro style, might be nice in the 'transatlantic' hamper........:D

Seen these mugs and they are really nice however have already bought a gi-normous Union Jack mug, but you've given me an idea 'cos am now going to look for other coca cola items!
Archiebear - Re your dad's american/British/transatlantic Hamper.... have you thought about presenting it all in one box/hamper? You could have british side and american side with transatlantic in the middle linking them - perhaps this will help to balance out the size of the gifts (basball glove etc) also what about adding something about the titanic- there are lots of books about (being 100years on) try The W*rks maybe? HTH

The only reason I've kept the baskets 'seperate' is because I've spent ages decorating the individual boxes (this is what you get for being too organised :rotfl:). I do love the idea of the Titanic book though as my Dad is very keen on historical events.

My other purchase today was in BHS and is a HP sauce and 'bread' plate for bacon butties - I simply had to buy it for my Dad - he does love his bb's!` (was £14  so he best use it a lot!!)

On a seperate note: if anyone is buying I-Tunes vouchers then Morrisons are doing a £25 voucher for £20
    Stopped smoking 20th October 2012 :D

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!

We've had enough of a covering that we can only barely see our grass but it looks like more is coming down overnight. I'm really surprised as it was raining hard all morning and it looked too wet and warm for it to stick.
