  • Been in a right old rut for a few days but I've decided to venture to town and see what poundland has to offer. Must admit I think I have nearly completed my present shopping (just a few things like satsumas for stockings that will be christmas week). I have got an urge for a pink christmas tree, completely OTT but tempted with pinkness
  • update on Christmas books!

Ive read the Julia Williams one, I really enjoyed it and its a good book, but it actually starts with them taking down Christmas decs at New Year, then follows their fortunes over the year until the next Christmas, so it isnt all set at Christmas, only a small part, but I did enjoy it.

The Carole Matthews book is all at Christmas, it starts with her in Tesco filling her trolley, getting stuff organised early, reminded me of us! Christmas songs in the background etc, other people being grinchey - she really should join our thread! It's a lovely book and an interesting story and set of characters, so would really recommend it, it's fab so far and one I would keep re-reading a bit like Twelve Days :)

was hoping to pick up some others yesterday but the book woman hadn't been to S'burys (its an outside person who does it, not the store) so there were no Christmas books at all *sulks*

x thank you x 6 months now and very cute. Absolutely dreadful sleeper though but oh so worth it :)

New mummies (and nanny's) many congratulations  It is such a fleeting time to have a little squishy but just so amazingly precious x

Thinking of all of you with losses and sadness that feel amplified at this time of year, wishing you strength and comfort xxx

 I adore pink, Ive always wistfully gazed at those pink toasters and kettles, storage jars etc, Id love a pink kitchen! :D

the 2.5ft fibre optic tree from Tesco Ive picked up and it's really lovely, the colour change is wonderful, I checked it was all working and put it on the dining room table in the dark, I love it! Ive been after one for years!

shame Ive had to put it away again for a few weeks!

I think tesco and Next have pink ones?

  • Had a bit of a blah moment at 2am this morning, the gift my dh was putting together for my dd2 turns out would go over our budget :( though i've found something i can give her instead,, just need to save a little bit more pennies after forgetting 4 bills have gone down in price thanks to mse! so i don't have to stress to much over that anymore lol

Finished my rudolph and left him on the window ledge to see if anyone would notice... my youngest dd was the first! and she said "you've finished him mummy, he's so sweet!" lol i never noticed she was paying attention to what i was making yesterday, mind you she was the first to notice the flags had gone from the highstreet and the xmas lights were there instead too! shows how observate she really is doesnt' it lol.

Im itching to start wrapping presents (usually do it in december so i have something todo lol) but i need to go through them all and dig out bday pressies for next week (dd1 will be 16, and dd4 will be 3) suddenly feeling old!

Oh and been told theres a house not far from me has their outside lights all up already :O theres someone madder than me in town! yay lol
