    Doh I am so forgetful.

Our 99p store had a Christmas melamine sets in yesterday.
For 99p you can get either -

    1 Tray
    1 Platter
    1 Sectioned server
    4 plates
    4 side plates
    4 Bowls
    3 Oval bowls

It is exactly the same as their summer picnic range ( for these who have seen it), only with Santa on.

Oh primark can wait now lol another trip to 99p shop next week i think! lol

  • caught up! am taping Christmas in Connecticut on True movies later, was intrigued by the synopsis on here!

been naughty - again! got email from Mr T to say the 2.5ft fibre optic colour change Christmas tree is back in stock, its £14.95 but they are so much more expensive elsewhere Ive ordered one free to store, Ive always wanted one! also ordered the 12 piece nativity set of ornaments, they are wooden according to info and are only 2.97

also picked up the Christmas Tree green pillar candle in S'burys, I know I'd only be able to resist once, it smells wonderful!

Did anyone else get the vouchers from S'burys in the post? the £8 off £40 shop for 6 weeks ones? they have been so useful, Ive been adding crackers, nibbles, chocolates etc to my weekly shop up to value of £8 so really getting them free, ive got 3 more vouchersfor next 3 weeks, so may get a bottle of wine each week to put away with those. Am slightly unsure why they would do that October to mid November though, wouldnt it be better to have done it mid November to Christmas? :) unless they are sending more!

As I've mentioned before I live in a tiny cottage in Devon and our garden is very country cottage type thing the neighbours are fitting electric gates and digging up all the lovely cherry trees which have been there for over 70 years ( my cottage used to belong to my grandad and he planted them as a child with my great granny ) the garden used to be shared between both cottages and now there s a fence down the middle . I'm dreading they are just going to spoil the lovely old fashioned look but there's nothing we can do as its not our half : ( . At least I get to keep the three cherry trees that remain on our side :). Hope you all have a lovely day :rudolf:
That's awful. :( For some reason there's hardly anything that makes me more upset than people cutting down trees. Especially ones that have probably been there longer than they've been alive. It always seems so selfish and egotistical to think that your garden design whims are more important than a seventy year old tree. Grr. Am getting annoyed.

Anyone taping Christmas in Connecticut later who has children may like to know it clashes with Doctor Who:(

Guess the Christmas film will have to wait. Did see half of Jingle All The Way earlier and DD wanted to watch with me.

Losing Sky on tuesday (cannot justify £80 month) so will miss out on the Christmas films on film24. Looking forward to the Christmas station on the radio though. Christmas music 24/7:D

Big sympathies with the poster (sorry, poor memory!) woken at 6.30am by the jcb. Hate to see trees bulldozed and all for electric gates:eek: shocking.

I LOVE those! The ebay ones are £4.99 plus postage. :( Amazon is over £6, hope I can find some cheaper before christmas as they are fab. :)

Vintage queen 72-Ah that is so sad. :( It would sadden me so much to see it all spoiled. Im glad you have 3 left to enjoy though. x

Sorry I cant remember who was doing a choc hamper but thanks to princessmoneysaver on grabbit Superdrugs dry shampoo is buy 1 get 2 free and they do a chocolate brownie one. They work out at £1.99 for 3 (free delivery) so 66p each. :)

I *think* I stopped sucking my thumb when I was around 21. I know I was still doing it when I met MrD (aged 19). Obviously I stopped doing it in public and only in the comfort of my own home at that point. It didn't affect my teeth or the development of my tongue muscles (which can impact speech production), but I appreciate I may be the exception rather than the rule. I did try all sorts of things like sticking plasters over them so I couldn't suck them, and using that foul tasting nail varnish, but I wasn't ready (these were self-chosen - no-one directly forced me, but I guess I felt the pressure to stop). I just stopped naturally.

Part 1/Series 7 of Doctor Who finished a few weeks ago? Its not on BBC3 or Watch either as far as I can see. :)
