Wow wow wow I love this thread. Found it back by accident last night and I have got up early and read all 27 pages. Can I join in please?

I am, and have always been xmas obsessed. I buy gifts and plan all year, and my xmas spreadsheet of what I have actually spent versus what the retail cost would have been makes me a geek god with my work colleagues.

I usually have everything bought by September and then book a day off work in Oct or Nov, get everything out and have a pressie wrapping marathon.

I am currently drinking a brew from my disney xmas mug and my Jingle all the Way dvd is on, and just just love the fact that there are so many "me" on here.

hi BBThree! I always have a mince pie, a Starbucks Christmas coffee and the MTV Christmas channel/program on while Im wrapping and doing tree :) when I do kids stockings I usually have a Christmas film on, it is so lovely to find kindred spirits who love Christmas so much isnt it? :)

Ive always got an eye out for things for hampers, stocking etc, I love the Next Boxing Day sale as usually try and get Christmas pj's, bedsocks, scarves etc for following years stockings, but am going to do the kids both a Christmas Eve hamper and one for OH and the cats as well :)

If anyone is doing pamper type hampers etc, I noticed in Sainsburys yesterday they had some stuff in their nail section, like little manicure scissors, orange sticks etc 75% off, were out of stock but the SEL's there so hopefully may be in stock in other stores, also if anyone looking for really good foot range for pamper hampers, Boots 'Gorgeous Feet' intensive creams etc are just amazing, the smell is like ice cream and they really work, have them on buy one get one half price at moment.

Kay, I hope everything goes ok with you MIL's op x

Thanks I'm sure it will it's more get leg op she is worried about as she doesn't want to loose her leg but that's very likely but that's not for a few months yet!!

On another note I was looking through my pressie rash before and have a bit more than I realised which is always good :) && I've just ordered my little brother a lightening McQueen remote control car from eBay for 10.00 including p&p and it's 25 in Disney shop last time I looked! So he's done along with my mum and oh cus and grandad and my step mum! I have a few bits for my sister stocking too nearer the time I'm going to make my gran, aunt and mum some little photo books from vista print! I need to wait till closer the time as the one for my gran is going to be of her gran kids as a baby and now and the one for my aunt is of her 3 little boys from their bdays etc up till now as they got older! Just need to keep my eyes open for deals on other bits for everyone else!
Does anybody know where you can get American sweets quite cheap as I want to do my oh a little American sweet hamper :)

Ha Ha yep I certainly do. After I have exhausted my xmas Cds, I put on a xmas comedy dvd "The Worst xmas of my life" which I half watch while wrapping.

Its very funny and shows a family dealing with the day before xmas, xmas eve, xmas day etc, and I whack it on every year.

Another thing I do is buy the scotch gift tape and wrist dispenser, as I have learnt in the past the cheap sellotape and searching for the end of the tape etc is no fun.

Unfortunately, my two kids have a habit of moving the household scissors and sellotape out of the drawer where they live, iyswim, so now I have my own separate scissors and tape all hidden away safely.

Just found something awesome on Amazon, thanks to grabbit forum!

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1898435669/ref=ox_ya_os_product

little book full of traditional sweet and confectionary recipes, 5 star reviews, £1.25 with free p+p (Amazon offering free Prime next day delivery for a month again, just dont forget to cancel the auto upgrade!) have ordered a couple, will be great for stocking filler, hampers and also for making sweets for gifts, brilliant value at 1.25, they also have a whole range similar price, cakes, biscuits, jams etc, well worth grabbing I felt!

those scotch dispensers are fabulous, our cellotape diappears like magic as well, those things are just so easy! if I try and cut lots of bits off a roll and carefully stick them off the edge of the table or something when Im trying to wrap, the wretched cats attack them and I end up with pressies with the additional decoration of the odd cat hair! grr!

    Ebay has some bits too.

Not sure if you have one nearby but in our town we have a house of Fraser and they do a small range of American bits and bobs, oooh and just remembered Mr Ms near us has just started selling the Marshmallow fluff!
